Water Pouring out of the soap dispenser

This could be an easy fix. Lift out the whole tray and wash in really warm water in your sink and wipe out anything you see inside the machine. It could be a lump of Downey or soap caught up. Good Luck.

pull out soap dish and clean out should do it

The dispenser is removable like a car ashtray. Put it in the dishwasher and run it through a cycle Or soak it in hot water and clean it.

Sounds like dispenser in stopped up and water from fill valve has no where to go.

you have a blocked pipe that lets the sope and water into the washer drum try pushing a curtain spring wire down the pipe to push out the bockage or using a pipe blow down it to blow the stuck sope out?
(you need good lungs to do this bit),,,a small boy also help's,, send him down the pipe??? when you clear this pipe wash it out well with hot water,,

We had water pour out of the dispenser of our Kenmore HE2 washer. hot water helped us for one load then i realize that a trapped rag was the problem We were actually able to pull the face cloth out of the intake tube without taking everything apart!
opened the washer door and feel around inside the rubber seals to find where the intake tube connects to the drum (upper-left side). felt a small bit of cloth sticking out of the tube and were able to slowly work it out by pulling back and forth. and pulled it completely out thats all it was try this

its pouring out because the dispenser is getting clogged in somewhere and not letting the water to the drain pump so its pouring from the soap dispenser. Remove the dispenser, pour water into the opening and make sure water can get into the machine freely. Inspect the opening for soap build up.
If water goes down slowly , open the washer door and feel around the bellow for anything blocking the water inlet port into the washer (socks can sometimes get wedged up there and cause a blockage).
If it all checks out ok, make sure the machine is properly leveled and not leaning forward.

Hi dlypooh, thought I would post the solution here as well for anybody who needs to do a search in the future...

There is a rubber hose that connects dispenser housing to outer tub of washer. Disconnect hose at outer tub and fish out article of clothing that has wedged itself in there cuasing water to back up and pour out of dispenser. In the future use a linen bag for small articles of clothing such as underwear and socks.
