On the HP Deskjet 1220c the yellow light on the far left of the three buttons (power on etc) is continuously blinking and I can't find my manual that goes with this printer and the cd to load printer is also unavailable. How can I correct this problem; 1. what does this blinking light indicate (there are no paper jams) and 2. how do I correct this?

Thank you for suggesting that the cartridge might be bad. I almost got rid of my deskjet D1320 because it was blinking continuously and I could not figure out why. I tried everything from new driver to looking for a paper jam and nothing worked until I tried your suggestion. I tried each of the cartridge separately to find out that the black cartridge was making the light blink but not the color on. I replaced the black cartridge and the printer is fine now
This happens when the connections on the cartridge get old. Especially when you refill or buy non HP Cartridges, try buying brand new hp cartridges and you might be able to get a couple refill out of them before this happens again.
