Look inside the pump. Smething might be in it. If you incorrectly installed the couplings too tight against the tranny or motor then the resulting bind will cause the problem.
hello, i'ld say buying a new motor is far cheaper then buying a new unit unless the maching is in bad condition for a new motor your looking at anywere from 50.00-175.00$ depending on the model number of your machine. good luck on making your decision, and if you decide to buy the new motor and need help finding one let me know i can help you find the motor you need.
Almost went and bought a switch until I widened by search for "kenmore washer 80 series overflow" and came up with this: http://www.fixya.com/support/t1206464-kenmore_80_series_overflow
Turns out that a couple weeks ago, I had a really unbalanced load that probably shook off the tubing. Anyhow, saved me a trip to the supply store AND cost. Thanks to the original poster!
your agitator dogs are stripped there about $10.00,remove cap to replace. easy, need 1/2 to 3/8 adapter or 7/16 socket depending on model. and your coupler is broken about $20.00 its what runs yous washer its like your belt under neath between motor and transmission , less cloths max water will stop it from happening again
Hi thanks for the question The part that has broken, is called the drive coupling . located between the motor & clutch. replace that part thanks the appliance doc
You may not have the coupling seated properly. However, if the unit is agitating and spinning at the same time, you may have a more serious transmission problem.
Lyzz, someone is going to have to check the pump for debris in it. It is not hard to get off, 2 clips and two clamps. You also want to check the drain hose from the pump right at the point where it exits the washer. I have found socks and other items stuck right at that point. You are going to have to remove the cabinet to get at the pump. Yours will have a cover under the console where you will have to disconnect some hoses. I will attach a couple of photo's to guide you...Catriver..post back.
