I have a 27 in. orion flat screen that is only 2yrs old suddenly when whatching tv lately i noticed that some channels are inexplicably in spanish and some have no sound at all i cant link it to my cable it is definately the tv if i auto prog to reset channels it randomly sets in different channels and the language is set for english on all channels the picture has been fine only last night it started saying text ch1 on channel 12 and after about 5 secounds a big black block appears switching off then back to the channel makes it go away for the 5 sec delay
With your remote, go into the menu, find the audio setup and click off the SAP. Thats the Second Audio Program. Some Broadcasters send a second lanquage along with the regular audio. Someone must have been looking around or playing with the remote and turned on the SAP.. Good Luck PS please do not forget to rate this thread

Had same problem, could not correct it with menu from remote. Pulled power plug for one hour, computer resets and can be reprogrammed when powered on.

If you don't have a SAP button it might be MTS, which is the same thing

SOURCE: Black box appears on tv screen
Check to see that you don't have any channel locks or parental parental permission measures deployed. If so remove them, this includes V-Chip, and Parental lock out on the remote, and check your TVs menu items. What channel are being affected by this problem? Give channel number and channel type.
Thank you,

SOURCE: Problems tunning channels in my old orion tv
On the remote, is there a setup, install or menu button? sometimes its the red, green, yellow, and blue buttons on old tv's that are the tv's system settings, if that does not work can you tell me what the make of the tv is, there should be a number or make on the front of it.

SOURCE: Orion TVD2710. Lost remote, can't change signal input
I would suggest you try to find a universal remote that has an "input" or "source" button and program that one to your tv. By pressing the "source" or "input" button, it will change the input to the tv. I hope this helps! -Der Strom

I have the same problem, however, when I go to the menu, and audio, I do not have the option for SAP. I also have a universal remote that also happens to be RCA.
