Astoria SAE 2 Programing

I just purchased a slightly used astoria sae2, and it does not want to program. I turn the switch to "on", push the program button, etc. as the manual says, but it only does what it was originally programmed to do.

The key is that you have to HOLD the programming button in for about 5 seconds before the system will go into programming mode. All the lights will come on and you will know you are ready to program the various shot buttons.

All the program buttons on my Astoria SAE2 were flickering at once. I turned the machine off and on again and it was gone but am wondering why it was flashing.

if the machine runs on 220, then it will do that with a power surge, because sometimes, when there is a surge, it drops to 110 power it is enough to do this, if it is wire and on 110 power, could be a programing issue that is triggered from a power surge. Most likely it was a power surge, that is common, especially if it is 220 power, machine will run if only 110, power, but wont operated fully for the proper steam, boiler temps etc, if does not have enough amp, just enough to flicker. Hope this info helps. Thanks Mr Bean Man from fixya

Hi I do have a problem with my Astoria SAE2 Coffee Machine. One side of the machine working perfectly. On the other one there are 4 buttons and those are flashing red. during this process we can not serve...

Sounds like the flowmeter which sits under the drain tray is not working properly for that side, or the programming is off, or the head is blocked. There is a manual switch for that head when you press it does water flow? If yes then problem is flowmeter.

We have an astoria model SAE.2 for some reasen the machine has gone very quiet and appears to be strugling when re charging after each use

It sounds like the water pump is not doing its thing or the machine cannot get water, either blocked filter or water line.

Maximum water supply pressure

About 3 bars, not more that 5 or you will need to install a pressure regulator on the line.

How do I program an astoria SAE-2 espresso machine?

Look behind the right steam valve, you will have to remove the front top panel, there might be a small toggle switch, note the position. If switch is not there then it is on the black CPU box. Press the program/stop button if all lights come on move forward if not then move the toggle switch to opposite side and press program button.
When all four lights are on press a button when you get the desired volume press stop, continue until buttons are programed then move toggle back to original lock position.

We Have an Astoria SAE 2 Group and am looking to find the NSF label location on the machine. If i can't find that, how can I show health dept that it is NSF certified ?

On the right side of the machine next to the serial number is the most likely spot for the NSF sticker or tag depending on the model of the machine it may only have an ETL listing.
