That means that the lens are dirty, and the unit cannot read any disk.

Try first cleaning the lens using a lens cleaner kit (the ones with liquid cleaninc solution), like the one here :
Allsop Ultra Pro Lens Cleaner for CD, DVD and Game Consoles

Ifthat does not work, then you will need to access the lens inside theunit by opening the cover and accessing the lens pickup, and gently clean lens by using isopropylalcohol and ultra soft soft cotton sticks.

Here is how the lens look like:

Im just wondering why i might need a slave drive, i have a 80 gig master and a spare 80g drive should i put them both in or does it realy matter

slave drive is very handy in backup files you can store data and other software and drivers. it does matter becouse master drive always has the operating system that the virus and error always happen. hard drive with IDE connector has two jumper setting slave and master. connected to IDE cable. sata disk has no master slave..

My laptop wnt boot up no matter safe mode or the other start menu's what am i to do

Do you have an external CD or DVD drive to plug into it? If so, and if you have a Windows installation disk, you can boot from the disk and do a chkdsk scan on the drive to make sure the drive doesn't have errors. If the drive doesn't have errors, you'll need to do a rebuild of the operating system.

If the drive did have errors and chkdsk says it fixed them, try booting into windows again.

If it still won't boot, do the OS rebuild.

If it reports there is no hard drive, you've got bigger issues and will need to have the unit repaired.

How does a telescope used, and can we see a star through it even if the star is really really far?

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the telescope. Go outside during the day and practice focusing on a distant object.

Stars ALWAYS look like -------------- stars no matter what telescope you use. They are all too far away to see as a "disk" , always just points of light.

The closest star is Proxima Centauri at 4.2 light years away.

That is about 25 TRILLION miles!

Xbox 360 has Disk read error

if there is no physical damage to the outside of the console, take it back to where you purchased it for an exchange, it sounds like you may have knocked the laser out of place or even damaged the board.

Panasonic SA-AK57

The optics assembly is not detecting the disk. Sometimes this is due to the lens being dirty. These units are not the easiest to work on with out either experience or the manual. I would suggest that you invest in a service call to have the optics checked.
