Philips monitor gone crazy

you are outside USA right, "?
ever see this monitor work right ever? ( of bought it like this?)
test it on 2 PCs not just 1????????
reset the monitor yet?
yes Phillips outside USA have odd features.
the 1st is the Philips auto scaler bug, if turned on , other than VGA it goes nuts, the cure is 3 fold there, reset monitor and turn that off.
then there is the silly Philips. SMART IMAGE? , disable it.(with app)
last is the auto brilliance feature, disable that.
above assumes PC is good and not video dead. test only on working good PC.

in DVI,HDMI or DP mode and cabled. never use the auto scaler.
this is bug inside the monitor, that fails to turn that off the second
non VGA port is used. a big nasty ol' bug. (monitor firmware bug)

Hi my TV has a picture of a padlock and i cant unlock it tried to use remote it wont work it is a magnavox 29inch

hi,
For unlocking you tv you have to reset its v-chip. Do the following for the same.

Philips sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for Philip sets is 0711, although it may say "Incorrect code" the first time to trick you. If "Incorrect code" is displayed, simply enter 0711 again. To use it hit the MENU key to get to the menus. Go up or down until you reach AUTOLOCK or SMARTLOCK, depending on the model, and push the "right arrow" key on the remote. Enter the override code, and enter it a second time if it says it is incorrect.
Once in the AUTOLOCK or SMARTLOCK menu, go to BLOCK, and push the "right arrow" key. Go to BLOCKING OPTIONS and press the "right arrow" key. Go to MASTER DISABLE and press the "right arrow" key so that it says "MASTER DISABLE ON". The v-chip is now reset.

Some sites the scroll down speed is really slow. It seems like text pages are ok and ones with images really slows the scroll responce down. Any ideas??? Thanks!!

Sounds like you are having problems with your Internet connection speed. You could try some of these tips..
  • Step 1 Click Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections.
    Select "Internet Options."
Under Check for newer versions of stored pages, click "Automatically." Under browsing history, click "Settings."
If you're using dial-up, set the number under Disk Space to Use to between 250 and 1024 megabytes (MB). If you're using a DSL or cable connection, set it between 50 and 75 MB. Click "OK."
  • Step 2 Select "Delete" under Browsing history.
Click "Delete files..." under Temporary Internet Files to clear your browser cache.
Click "Delete cookies..." to remove all cookies from your hard drive.
  • Step 3 Disable any browser add-ons you don't need. In Internet Options, click "Programs." Click "Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer." Select the name of the add-on you don't want to load, and select "Disable" under Settings at the bottom of the dialogue box. Avoid deleting ActiveX controls as this will most likely cause the browser to prompt you each time you encounter content on the web, such as Flash animations, that use that control.
  • Step 4 Switch to a faster browser. While Internet Explorer is the most popular browser, it often causes pages to load slowly. Download a free browser such as Firefox, Opera or Chrome to get a quick speed boost to your browsing.
  • Step 5 Disable images in your browser. To disable images in Internet Explorer, open Internet Options and click the "Advanced" tab. Scroll down to "Multimedia" and uncheck "Show Pictures."
To disable them in Firefox, click Tools > Options in your browser window and select "Content." Uncheck the box beside "Load images automatically."
To disable images in Opera, open the arrow beside the camera icon at the bottom of your browser, and select "No images."
To browse with Google Chrome without images, right click on the Chrome shortcut and place the switch "-disable-images" without quotes after the last quotation mark in the path of the file.
  • Step 6 Disable active content if you're still experiencing a problem with your browsing speed. Return to the "Advanced" tab in Internet Options. Uncheck the boxes beside "Play animations in webpages" and "Play sounds in webpages."

Hello i was writing an email and held down the shift key for to long and an box came up with three options so i just pushed cancelled and now the keyboard is not working properly.capslock is back to front....

It seems your sticky keys got turned on somehow. Press shift key five times and it should turn off the sticky keys feature and fix your problem.

You might be wondering what is this feature all about, so here goes:

StickyKeys is an accessibility feature to aid users who have physical disabilities, but it is also used by others as a means to reduce RSI (or a syndrome called the Emacs Pinky). It essentially serializes keystrokes instead of pressing multiple keys at a time: StickyKeys allows the user to press a modifier key, such as Shift, Ctrl, Alt, or the Windows key, and have it remain active until another key is pressed.

I downloaded some pictures to my school computer and now my camera won't take any pictures. Message is Memory card write protected.

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

Can't type anything without weird things happening the \'p\' prints,

hi, check that Sticky-keys arent turned on.

to toggle Sticky-keys on and off, press the shift key 5 times fast, then either Disable the sticky-keys tickbox, or click Settings for more configuration settings.

when sticky-keys are enabled, you can press shift and release, and the shift key is still enabled. this also goes for Alt, and CTRL.

so if it is enabled, pressing P will attempt to be Ctrl-P - which is print.
