Hold down top C key whilst turning, this initiates a factory reset so any settings you have made resulting in the smear should be returned to normal.

SOURCE: My Clavinova CVP 305 Piano will no longer play the

The EPROM IC might be defective and might need a change but with the help of the Yamaha service.
Howeverr leave the set ON ffor several hours if you have not used or sparingly used.Sometimes moisture within the set can cause these issues which ccan clear up when the capacitors charge up or the board warms up.The interface is having some errors /conflicts that cause this conectivity.
So keep playing , do not switch off .
Hope this tip helps.

You don't mention what type of clarinet you have bought. Without this info I cannot answer or even guess, my guesses are very well educated, what the problem is.

I have a Yamaha Clarinet serial number 004828 what does that mean?

Serial numbers used to be used to tell the age of instruments. It seems now with Yamaha they are used as a tracking number for accounts purposes.

When I play my Bass Clarinet, the bottom joint won't play the higher octave. It will play everything except the 3rd octave B-E. I can't find any leaks.

usually If a certain note doesnot play the note before it is not seating correctly. Check all pads that they are sealing behind the bad notes, also make sure the octive key is sealing.

I have a clavinova CVP 409. If I try to record using an external memory device (external Hard drive or memory stick, a message appears; DISC ERROR. Can you please help me solve the problem or direct me...

I SUSPECT that the CVP 409 will ONLY talk to the Yamaha USB floppy drive, not a hard drive or memory stick.

The internal drivers for these musical instruments do not have the "smarts" to talk to the wide variety of peripherals that PC's are able to.
