I have the Krups combo model #xp2070. I am on my 2nd one and have the same problem. When frothing the milk the 1st week, it works perfect and after a week or so, it will not froth and the steamer makes the loud noise as though the water ran out but it did not. The water tank is in securely. I called the company and they thought it to be weird and maybe the place I bought it got a bad batch. I feel it is something easily fixed, what are the odds it happens in 2? It heats the milk but doesn't froth it. any suggestions?
I am looking to get a combo machine w/the espresso and coffee. Which would you suggest?
Ensure first that you are using the steam pipe in the correct way to froth the milk.
If it still does not work, that means that the steamer is not generating enough pressure steam.
This happens either because there is not enough heat, or if you release the steam when pressure is not enough.
If you think you are doing everything in the right way, then contact the company and insist for having the machine fixed or replaced.
The odds that 3 have same problem is quite scarce, but bear also in mind that Krups are not the best at frothing milk, and this is also a basic model.
If you want the best capuccino Coffee machine, buy the italian ones, Gaggia, Delonghi, Ariete etc. that are all great at this, or get a bigger Krups as a replacement like the Krups XP405040 that is also good at capuccino

Yes, it is used properly as it does work at 1st. This is the 2nd machine I am on and i am still w/in my 30 days so I am about to make 1 more attempt at a replacement. What are the odds that 3 have this problem? Thanks for the help!
