try to reboot your netgear router. if the same issue persist, try deleting the wireless networks saved to your computer and try to reconnect.

HERE are the instructions straight from Netgear

1. Type http://routerlogin.net or http://192.168.0.1 in the address field of an Internet browser.
2. Enter admin for the user name and password for the password, both in lower case letters.
3. Click OK. You will be logged in to your router’s main menu.
Select Wireless Settings from the main menu to display the Wireless Settings screen:
On the wireless settings page you will see a channel section that can be changed.
After you change it, make sure to click "apply" & "ok" then reboot the router.

DG834G is a modem/router, it is not a range extender that could extend the range of the wireless signal from the Belkin router.

Plug in the power cord. Push and hold the reset button for about minute. This should do it. If not contact netgear at 1-888-638-4327.

The default username and password for the Netgear DG834G router is:

username: admin
password: password

If that does not work (i.e., the default password has been changed), then the only way for you to log into the router is to restore the router back to its default factory settings. Then you will be able to use the default username and password above.

To restore the router's factory default settings, you must use the Default Reset button on the rear panel of the router.
1. Press and hold the Default Reset button until the Test LED turns on (about 10 seconds).
2. Release the Default Reset button and wait for the router to reboot.

to reboot your router, -do apower cycle, (i.e)just disconnect power from the router and wait for 30 seconds , reconnect the power, or to setup router again, press and hold the reset button in the router for 30seconds, with a pen or a paper clip.. with the power cable connect and then relaease reson button and then do a power cycle..
