Question about Pride New Mobility Legend 4 Wheel Scooter

1 Answer

Pride victory mobility scooter

When I engage the throttle one of my batteries volts goes way down and I do not have enough power to climb a hill. I check the voltage when standing after 12 hours of charging and it only goes to 11 volts. This is the same battery that drains when engaged.

A fully charged battery should be over 12 volts. You may need to change your batteries.

A fully charged battery should be over 12 volts.
You may need to change your batteries(get them load tested)
Remember to change your batteries as a pair even if its only one battery at fault

Charger works unit when switch is on. When disconnected it will not show any green light to go no throttle engagement.

I have no experience with the E-300 though the circuits are similar,
as shown by the link below.

Could be the battery.
Put the Scooter on a block so the rear tire is raised. Remove the standing plate to reveal the battery compartment.
Charge the Unit completely

1. Using a multimeter measure the voltage across the batteries. If the voltage is below 20 volts batteries are dead - Replace batteries.
2. Now for a running test. Turn the throttle and spin the rear tire to preform a kick start. Still measuring the voltage. If the voltage is Below 20 volts or if the voltage drops quickly batteries are dead - Replace batteries.
3. If the voltage is remaining around 24 volts for a long period - then you could have connector problems, clean and tighten all connectors.
I use a fiberglass electronic cleaning brush, as contact cleaners leave residue that interfere with electrical connections.

Wh is my 1999 v6 camry engine reving

Locate the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and verify that there is good hot coolant flowing to the valve. The valve has a built-in thermo element to open the valve further when the engine is cold.

2. If the coolant lines are good and hot, locate the 3-cavity connector on the IAC valve. The Yellow/Black (Y/B) wire is the ground for the closed windings of the valve. Back probe the Y/B wire and with the car running ground the wire, the idle should slow way down and possibly stall the engine. If it does not slow way down, look for a sticking IAC valve.REMOVE IAC VALVE, CLEAN WITH CARB. CLEANER, ACTUATE VALVE WITH A POWER PROBE TO OPEN AND CLOSE VALVE. REINSTAL.
1. At the idle speed control valve, use a volt meter to measure the voltage on the open and close winding. The open winding should be approximately 3 volts cranking and 5 volts when the key is released. The voltage should slowly climb towards 7.5 volts. The close winding will start out at 11 volts and slowly drop towards 8.5 volts.

2. Monitor the coolant sensor voltage using a volt meter. Do not use the scanner only.

3. Check that the power steering pressure switch is not on.

4. Check that the throttle position sensor signal voltage is .49 volts at closed throttle.

5. Use the scanner to check any other inputs to the computer.

The control module is simple and can be replaced with only a 24 volt relay without the kick start feature or Brake. If you want the brake then you can use two 24 volt relays still no Kick Start.

For those of you who know electrical, below is circuits I developed to replace the controller. This diagram will also give you a better understanding on the Razor circuit.

NOTE : This is not a schematic diagram of the Razor E100 Control Module. I designed this circuit. for my Great Nephew's Scooter.

1. The Brake is a normally closed switch that opens when you squeeze the Brake handle.
2. The throttle is two normally open switches that close when you turn the throttle.
3. The Kick Start circuit is described in the Diagram below.
4. The resistors values may need to be tweaked for best performance.

The volt gauge reads 14 volts when the truck is running (2004 Chevy 2500 HD, 6 Liter) after I shut it off Voltage gauge reads 9 volts as low as the gauge goes. The starter acts like it is not getting...

14 volts is close (14.5-14.8 volts is required
and 9 when shut down indicates a bad battery
have it load tested and then have the alternator tested for rectifier pack operation
there should be 14.5 volts DC at the battery when running or it is not charging the battery
if you have 14 volts AC replace the alternator with a serviceable unit

Battery dead after truck runs for 45 mins

Your voltage goes down after you start the truck? Your voltage should climb up to 13.5-14 volts (at the battery terminals) with the truck running. If it does not climb to that area you have some kind of alternator problem.

When the blades of the mowing deck are engaged the engine starts missing and shutting down. Otherwise the engine runs fine.

Sounds like you may have safety switch problems. Does it have an electric clutch, or is it all manual pulleys. Check the switch on the engager for the blades first before doing anything else.
