My name is Dennis and I also have the model you are having difficulty with and I can only repeat the instructions from the owners manual (with personal comments) because they have always served me adequately I hope that will serve your needs.
IDLE ADJUSTMENTS:
There are three adjustment screws on the carburetor labeled
H (for High speed MIXTURE)
L (for low speed MIXTURE)
T (for idle SPEED SETTING)
They are located just above the primer bulb. If your saw floods so soon in the starting process the idle mixture setting can be set too rich and the speed may be set too slow. Remember the chain will not move when the idle speed is set correctly with a WARM ENGINE!
Adjust the idle speed to just below chain movement WITH A WARM ENGINE this is just below the activation RPM of the centrifugal clutch. Let the engine run at a higher speed than idle until it is warm -- 3 min -- you may have to keep goosing it until then.
Please don't exceed the limits of the plastic limiters when making adjustments.
If you haven't adjusted the mixture screws you may just have to adjust the idle speed and that can start my turning that screw all the way in to the stop and then back out 4-1/2 turns for a good place to start. FAST IDLE -- Adjust the speed until the engine runs with out the chain moving. Adjust clockwise to increase speed. C clockwise to decrease engine speed.
Accelerate the engine and if it stumbles and makes too much smoke it's too rich turn the
LOW SPEED MIXTURE (in) clockwise in 1/16 a turn increments NO MORE at a time because a two cycle needs to run at a setting for a short time to really prove the setting. don’t run it wide open to warm it up but it should be at a fast idle. Nothing you do will be proven correct until the engine is warm.
Good Luck
Glad to be of assistance - please rate the solution because I will learn from your rating. Thank you

TORO 120 DIES IN FORWARD OR REVERSE WITH OUT PTO ENGAGED PROBLEM JUST STARTED

Initial thought is carb problem. I would look at the choke being stuck first. If not then possible debris in it. I would suggest a rebuild and cleaning of the carb then.

Poulan 2375 Wild Thing chainsaw won't start

You may have something keeping the reed assembly from closing. This is a check valve that keeps the gas going in one direction... into the engine as the piston goes up and down. It's located just below the carburetor. Maybe a piece of gasket material worked its way in there. Make sure you have a good solid spark and your plug is clean and properly gapped. Recheck your gasket replacement job as you check the reed assembly. Compression, gas, good spark and reed working... the engine will at least sputter.

Hi there ! I have a toyota 87model 1.6 with a carburetor problem . It does not start in the morning but i spray in some quickstart then it starts . Then its everytime after that when the engine has run .

There are a couple of things. First gaskets/rebuild the carb. Gas will drain out of the carb from bad gaskets. Your car is old... Second float sticking. Not letting enough gas in. Your car is old, this should also be a rebuild and fuel filter change on both. You can get the kit at a parts store or a carb rebuild store. not that hard to do. comes with instructions. Since and if your car runs fine after the initial start up (quick start). I wouldn't worry about cleaning the jets and ports so much.

Hard start ,no hi speed

You need to clean and rebuild your carb. You have debris in the high speed circuit of the carb, the hard starting is normally cause by a hard diaphram or debris in the carb circuits. Good Luck, I hope this helps Please rate me, Thanks

What is the "T" adjustment on my Poulan Wild Thing?

The "T" position is just a mechanical stop for the Throttle.  It adjusts the idel speed by keeping the throttle from closing all of the way.  The "H" and "L" screws adjust carburator jets that feed the motor at High and Low speeds.

2375 ''wild thing'' poulan saw hard starting after carb rebuild

Through trial and error on fairly new Poulin Pro, found that the usual 3-half turns for both high and low was too much (flooded) (Used to be good starting point on weed eaters years ago. So, turned both all the way in, and only backed out 1-full turn. (2-halves) Saw fired up perfectly, and ran wide open just fine. Try that.

Wild Thing-(18")hard starting

I own the Poulan Chain Saw the Wild Thing. Replaced the spark plug and fuel filter and made a fresh batch of gasoline mix and I am still having a hard time getting it started. I had the exact same problem last fall. Repair shop told me it was flooded. If this is the case how do I resolve the problem. I took the plug out and it was dry.

Thanks,
