I found a new touch panel (or membrane switch pad) for < $166 at http://www.myapplianceparts.com/ . The person on the phone at this company was very pleasant and immediatley confirmed that they had 10 of these in stock. This suggests to me that more than a few of these have gone bad. Luckily, they are very simple to replace if you are willing to turn a few screws and carefully pull of the electrical connectors. I dissasembled mine in 20 minutes, got the part number (#62682B for my ECS130), and found best price in 20 minutes.
I have usually seen 2 problems causing the light to come on and off. 1: the door hinges have been sligtly bent and need to be replaced (the door doesn't push the light switch all the way in and the light can come on and off) or 2: The touch pad on these tend to go bad and make intermittent connections for no apparent reason. This is called the membrane switch. It is mounted to the front panel from behind, and you will have to remove the erc you installed to get it out. I belive this mebrane switch pad is much cheaper than the erc, but I'm not sure of that. The touch pad is also miore likely to cause other problems, wheras the hinge problem is only going to cause the light to come on sometimes. Hope this helps!

I was the original poster of this Possessed Oven problem. After having the ERC replaced (as mentioned above), I had the membrane switch replaced. I haven't had a problem since. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed!)
And yes, it was a fortune to repair. Way over $600 for both. Dacor needs to quit ignoring this problem and take care of its customers! I won't buy this brand again.
Hello possessed oven and others. If you got rid of your possessed oven, I think we bought it! Everything is exactly as you posted in yours. We thought we were losing our minds. We will explore the membrane fix and see if that does it. Will post follow up. Also would appreciate any other suggestions. I, like mjpig rarely use this oven. It was suppose to be the state of the art when we purchased it 6 years ago....stay tuned for more ghostly follow up. 2schnauzer
Same problem with Dacor Model PCS230. Oven lights blink continuously and the control relay sounds like it's chatter itself to death.
Slight pressure on the membrane switch (light icon) and the blinking stops. Release pressure the light stays off for a few seconds then starts flashing again. No error codes. The problem seems to be in the membrane board itself that is cemented to the glass front panel. Replacement membrane board is $128.00, now on order.
I have had exactly the same problem with a blinking light that will not go off without turning off the curcuit breaker.
I am very disappointed to report that my Dacor PCS130 wall oven has failed me. I have an all Dacor kitchen - 2 wall ovens, a microwave (whose display is also a problem as part of the numbers don't show up anymore.) and a gas cooktop. I even recommended a Dacor oven to a friend and she bought one!! Bad move on my part as they have had trouble also :(
My display is beeping and code F1. I tried resetting the breaker - no luck. Now I understand I need to replace the touchpad assembly for a mere $750 (service call included.) This unit isn't even 6 years old and doesn't get much use as I have two ovens!
Do I have to replace the whole assembly? Will Dacor cover any of the expense?
