Question about KitchenAid KUDS24SE Built-in Dishwasher
I first must admit I could not find where to post a new problem for a product model that was not already listed so I placed it here. My kenmore dishwasher (model 665.15891791) has a heating problem. If you wash the dishes and let it complete the cycle and cool without opening the door at the end of the cycle it will melt any plastic items inside. You have to open to door just before the cycle ends and prop it open to let the inside cool down to keep anything from melting. This problem occurs no matter what cycle you place it on. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tim
Tim, start with the vent itself. Sometimes these vents get clogged with gunk and will not let the hot air escape. After that you will have to do some testing. Your model should have a safety thermostat that opens if the temp inside the dishwasher gets too hot cutting power to the heater. If your dishwasher has a heated dry selection you want to make sure that pad is working. You would have to select air dry, and see if the heater is getting power with a meter during the drying period. If so, you probably have a welded relay on the board. Catriver...post back.

Great, I appreciate the very quick response. I will check that out in the next couple of days and let you know how it works out. My wife will be satisfied that I'm trying. :)
Again, Thanks A Lot!
