Not getting the coffee

I fill the maker with water, put in the coffee grounds, turn it on, it heats up, I hear the bubbling coffee, but nothing comes out into the carafe. I checked the area where the grounds are while the machine is running (I know I can get burned, my mistake) and the grounds are only moist from the steam. What is wrong?

I had the same problem. I read this article and was able to figure it out the probem: http://home.howstuffworks.com/coffee-maker.htm The one way valve and the heater pipe in the bottom of the unit are extremely calcified. I opened the bottom by removing the four little "security" screws. I used a little tiny flathead screwdriver because I didn't have the proper "star security screwdriver and it worked fine. Next, I removed the two orange hoses and soaked them in white vineager. The shorter intake hose contains the one way valve. make a note of which way you remove this hose 'cause it has to go back in in the same direction. Next I propped the unit on its side so that I could put some vineager in the heater pipe and let it soak in there. Next I blew into and sucked air out of the one way hose and then rinsed both hoses thoroughly. Then I used a little piece of a wire coat hanger to scrape out some of the junk in the heater pipe, (especially on the heat side) followed by a little pipe cleaner to get it extra clean. Then I put it all back together. Be carefull that the hoses are sealed ok. I actually cut a little off of them to get a new seal on the side that connects to the heater pipe. There wasn't much room for error though. After getting it all back together I ran a few full pots through it of 1/2 vineager 1/2 water and then a couple of just water. Probably a good time to change the water filter inside the unit too. Also, from now on I'll make sure to use the self cleaning mode more often. Good luck. Kevin

Whatever you do: DO NOT PUT IN GROUNDED COFFEE IN THE MACHINE. You'll need to buy coffee beans instead of grounded coffee. If you fill it with grounded coffee, the machine will break down. If you already did put in grounded coffee, get everything out with a vacuum cleaner. The chance is high if you putted grounded coffee in it that the machine is already broken and needs to be professionally be repaired. about the other question, did you fill it with water and did you do a flush run beforehand?

My bun coffee maker model vps will not heat the water. I did notice bubbling noise the last couple of months, any thoughts?

VPS are pour over brewers. Like the 12 cup brewers you find at home, they need to be filled with 12 cups of water (a full pot), heated and then peculated over the coffee grounds and collected in a decanter.
BUT there is one main difference! The VPR and similar COMMERCIAL coffee machines are quick brewers. They usually have a pre-heated pot of water stored inside the machine.
* VPR's and similar machines REQUIRE a pre-fill and heating period prior to brewing. This means it's sitting on a level table and filled with water until water sprays from the brew head. At this point the unit is plugged in and the heater is turned on (CWTF's have a toggle switch behind the machine). Brewer will pre-heat the water (there may be some water discharge from brew head as the water expands). Ready light will come on in about 15 mins.
* To Brew; Place coffee grounds in filter, place in funnel and brew head, clean empty decanter under funnel, slowly pour one full decanter of water (cold or hot) into brew tray. Do not overflow tray. Allow water level to sink before adding more water. Only fill with one pot as an equal amount will come out the brew head and funnel.
* FYI Coffee grounds are usually in pre-messured packets for office use. A simple guide is one tablespoon per cup. (level or heaping spoon is up to you)
* Since your brewer was bubbling at one point. I'm guessing it had water in the pre-heater at one time. But if it's not in use and left plugged in all that time then the water has probably boiled off. Hopefully someone unplugged the brewer prior to the unit blowing the thermal fuse.
* You can test the VPR by following the Pre-fill instructions I've listed earlier. If the brewer heats up and does not continuously boil (shorted condition) then try a brew. If it works then your okay. Otherwise the unit will need service for a blown high limit or bad heater element.
* Call your coffee vendor anyway. Many coffee vendors will service your brewer of even replace it as long as you buy coffee from them. Ask around.

Hot water will not come down thru coffee

Your pour over coffee brewer has a reservoir that holds more than a pot of water. First thing you need to do is turn off the machine. Then put the empty coffee pot on the burner. Then take another container and fill it with fresh cold water and pour it slowly into the coffee maker until it starts to come out into the coffee pot. Stop pouring in water.

Now turn the machine on and let it heat up. Now you can brew normally. The reservoir has to be filled before you turn it on or you will end up eventually burning up the heating element.

(B30 mini) no water comes out... we have had it for 3 weeks, I have cleaned the needle... and the funnel. Everything goes as normal, the water heats until it is time for the coffee to come out- then the...

So I had this same problem the fix was pretty simple. Air had gotten into the fill line and the pump couldn't pump the air filled line. So to get rid of the air try to brew a cup of coffee (make sure you have a cup under) now cover the over flow at the top of your water reservoir with your finger or thumb. Air bubbles should blow into you water storage tank. Once the bubbles are gone remove your thumb or finger. Now try to brew a cup of coffee again.

The coffee maker is not working. It indicates refill the tank and I did it but still it does not work.

As others have said...just keep reseating the water tank, 20-30 times may be necessary. You will see air bubble come up and until you stop seeing bubbles, keep dropping the tank into place. Eventually it will start to **** water from the tank filling the brewer with about 20oz of water. Wait a couple minutes for the water to heat and it will indicate ready and just select brew cup size. This will work. We just had the same problem today with our first breville coffee brewer and now it works great.

Coffee won't come out of coffee maker

Sounds like the dispensing lever is broken. I had the same problem. I am still looking for a part. If the coffee is brewed and in the upper tank then the lever is not pushing on the valve. I glued mine several times but it keeps breaking.

Sounds like the thermostat is weak and turning off at too low of temp.
