Old General Electric Television

I have an old GE television that no longer has a power cord. There are two prongs at the back of the television and I was wondering if anyone would know what type of cord this would be and where I could get one. The label has been torn off but I can see these letters GT604 for the model and it's 100 watts, whatever that is, and the serial number is 002599099. Hope someone can help

You likely have a very old set 30 or more years old? If so, search online for a "cheater cord"

I have an old/new stock General Electric 12XJ4114W television and I need a dial knob for the UHF tuner plus the knob that goes behind it for the fine tuning.

It sounds like you are looking for replacement dial knobs for your General Electric 12xj4114w television. These knobs are used to tune the UHF (ultra-high frequency) channels and to make fine adjustments to the tuning.
To find replacement dial knobs for your television, you can try the following:
  1. Check with the manufacturer. General Electric may still have replacement parts available for your television. You can try contacting them to see if they have the dial knobs you need.
  2. Check with an electronics repair shop. An electronics repair shop may have the dial knobs you need or be able to order them for you.
  3. Check online retailers. There are many online retailers that sell replacement parts for electronics, including dial knobs for televisions. You can try searching for the specific model of your television to see if dial knobs are available.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

I am looking for a general electric power cord it's 2002 model

The part number for this is: RCA #260519, but it is listed as no longer available. Your best bet is to call around to a few local repair shops looking for either a new old stock (NOS) one or a used one.

Bought used ge spectra range had to change the power cord to 3 prong to fit outlet--now nothing works except light when turning burners on and clock

Did you hear a "pop" or smell like something was burning? Sounds like old oven could have been 3 phase, and you new oven single phase, Check the power requirements for oven and see what kind of power you are supplying it with.

How do i hook up my dryer from a 3 prong to a 4 prong

UNPLUG DRYER FIRST.

Remove old cord from back of dryer. Make note of where white, back and red wire hook to on piece of paper.

New cord has 4 wires. looking at the back of dryer,

RED Wire, should have been tied to terminal screw on right side,

WHITE Wire, should have been tied to center terminal,

BLACK Wire, should have been tied to left terminal,

Remaining wire is GREEN, attach to body ground screw located next to cover plate, screw is generally painted green. IF not attach to unit body.

Wire 3 prong cord

Electric Dryer How To Hook Up Cord pixel_trans.gifFor Three Prong Cords
the Center cord wire goes on the center terminal,
the left on the left ,
and the right on the right.

Note: There should be a ground strap or wire that runs from the center terminal to the dryer case.

For Four Prong Cords
the White cord wire goes in the center,
the Red on the Right,
the Black on the Left.
The green cord wire goes to the case or the external ground screw.

Note: Be sure to disconnect the ground wire or strap that runs from the center terminal to the case. In this Photo (A Whirlpool Dryer) I have ran the wire that runs from the center terminal, the Light Green wire, back to itself rather than cutting it off, just incase I need to put a 3 prong cord back on it some day. The whole purpose of this 3 prong / 4 prong thing is it separates the neutral from the ground. pixel_trans.gif pixel_trans.gif3 Prong Cord Whirlpool Dryer Example terminalblock.jpg 4 Prong Cord Whirlpool Dryer Example 4prongcord_small.jpg

How do you install a 3 prong power supply cord to a GE Dryer?

DO NOT CHANGE THE POWER SUPPLY CORD.
you can't change the power supply cord.
the cord came with the dryer is 240v. the three prong is 120v. the dryer will burn up. if you change the power cord without changing the regulator , motor, and the heating element.
you need to get a electrician to run a 240v double breaker from the panel to the dryer.
