Tuner does not work Sony CDX-L420V CD suddenly.

I have much of the same problem like one on this forum; -problem: the tuner is not working. -no reaction when prsssing the buttons. -Much of this:It seems to be not a power loss cause when I press the "display" button it shows the time it seems to be "on" ... -The other task is when opening to insert a cd it does,is also plays it. sound: stays on one level.( not loud) -I pressed the reset button many times: no change I tried jexx recommendations: de fuse from the radio itselff is allright. -No burned fuses in the fusebox. Other suggestions? Soer.

    I wil rephrase.
    Problem:
tuner suddenly does not work Sony CDX-L420V CD.
-Maybe it was caused by trying to put the front om the radio to fast in its seat two times in a row.
-Should expect a blown fuse, but the fuse on the radio and the circuits of the car are allright.( i will check them fourth time)
-problem exists ; the tuner is not working.
-no reaction when presssing the buttons.
-when I press the "display" button it shows the time.
    -It opens for the cd
-it also plays it. but thes sound: stays on one level.( not loud)
-I pressed the reset button many times: no change

Yes Angelflo. Marv suggestions did it. One of the tiny plates was bent. I carefully straighted it and everything works fine. But this tiny plate is vulnerable. I keep the front on the radio on its place now. A basebalhat is covering my radio if I leave the car. Soer(jat)

Try cleaning the connections on the faceplate and were the faceplate meets the unit, Make sure you disconnect the power first (pull the fuses) look carfully at the pins on the radio itself were the faceplate and the radio meet see if any are bent or out of place. I think what the other person was talking about fuses is there is two fuses on the radio and there will also be two fuses in the car. So there should be four fuses to check depending on your car. Good Look.

My sony 52wx4 tuner will not work. cd and aux does, but not tuner. Lights up but no sound

some of the sony tuners did have inherent problems, if your unit is a cdx-gt260 then most of these had tuner problems. best to change the entire tuner "circuit can/module" in the unit. or check out your sony service center for repair advice/cost. cheers.

I have a sony cdx-gt45ip wen playing a cd or using the tuner my sub works but wen using the aux all bas dissaperes, the sub still has power why is this happening ?

use the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on) to turn the amp on instead of the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on). the blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode.

MEX-BT5700U, no sound in speakers in CD source, tuner source OK.

What many people do on this model is connect the remotes wires improperly. Use the solid blue wire for the amp and the blue with white stripe for the connection to the car.

Volume, Display and FM stations missing?

This could be a bad ground on the radio, or you have serious circuit problems. if a fuse blew, the radio would not work at all. Check the installation first, replace the radio seconds. Good Luck
