You can see if the wire is made corresponding to the USB 1.x/2.0 standard. (All USB cables should follow the standard, but many manufacturers don't respect this and use whatever cables they get cheap.)

USB 1.x/2.0 standard pinout
1 VBUS Red (or orange) +5V
2 White (or gold) Data?
3 Green Data+
4 GNDBlack (or blue) Ground

Vga cable color code of 17" monitor of samsung SyncMaster can u send color code pichear

1 - Red
2 - Green
3 - Blue
4 - NC
5 - DDC Return
6 - GND (R)
7 - GND (G)
8 - GND (B)
9 - NC
10 - GND-Sync/Self raster
11 - NC
12 - DDC Data
13 - H-Sync
14 - V-Sync
15 - DDC Clock

The wire colours in the actual cable are:

Red (foil wrapped with 1 bare ground wire)
Green (foil wrapped with 1 bare ground wire)
Blue (foil wrapped with 1 bare ground wire)
Transparent (foil wrapped with 1 bare ground wire) All the above go to the corresponding Gun Color, the Bare wire goes the one GND pin.
Purple
Yellow
Black
Orange
White
Bare braided outer ground wire. Combine ALL earths to a single point.
You will have to open up the unit, to see what colors are used for the 5 - DDC Return 10 - GND-Sync/Self raster 12 - DDC Data
13 - H-Sync
14 - V-Sync
15 - DDC Clock
Settings they are marked on the motherboard.
