I have a NV-DX110B about 11 years old. I'm getting

Your camera appears slightly older than mine so I will do my best for you. Have you tried ejecting the tape with the power off? If I have problems I slide the eject button when the camera is off but plugged in and the tape can be ejected. I suspect the tape mechanism is in trouble. When a tape stuck in mine I had to literally force the cover open. But this is a last resort.

Give my suggestion a try and apologies if you have already tried that...

Quantum cl1002 Unable to enject the drive.at the moment Power light is sold, and active and status light is flashing. any advice will be awsome.

power down the computer and then the drive, disconnect the drive from the computer, and then power up the drive. If it still fails to eject, power down the drive again and this time power up while holding the eject button.

I keep getting an error message saying "Remove the Cassette" and the eject mechanism won't work so I can't even remove it. It hasn't been dropped or anything. I just used it a couple of weeks ago, and it...

The only thing that you can try is to unplug the camcorder from any type of power supply, leave it sitting for about 10 minutes, plug it back in, and try again. If the tape was left in the unit while it was not being used, this could have caused a problem. If you are still unable to remove the tape, you will need to have the camcorder repaired or at least get an estimate. www.austintelstarservices.com

Unable to use sumsung receiver /disc amplifier

Contact Onkyo website - usually a malfunction in the unit requiring service, and you cannot reset it. HOWEVER, try the usual unplug, wait and plug-in again. Make sure that there's not a shorted speaker - so unplug all speakers and try using just headphones. Also, make sure you have air ventilation around the unit - nothing on top of it, as that will cause it to overhead and shutdown. Try these items and report back. Good Luck!

Tape not ejecting from drive after 60 secs pressing eject button. I can hear it 'clicking' but no attempt to eject the tape is made. I would be very grateful for some advice regarding what I might do next.

can you detail the model No or compaq spares No for the drive - the clicking makes it sound to me like a DAT but unable to proceed without more info.

If it is a DAT (compaq used both Sony and HP mechs) try disconnecting the scsi cable from the scsi card, rebooting the drive and trying again.

If that doesnt work try a 00pt screwdriver in the manual eject point of the drive and unload manually (about 1000 turns!)

Failing that try www.tape-drive-repair.com as they are pretty good price wise for a repair / exchange

Can't eject tape from deck

On Sony DSR-80P error 02-221 and 02-291 is a problem with the tape pull-in or eject. Mostly the tape stickers are bad situated over the stripe-cover at the top, which should be moving freely!
Remove the stickers from the tape or put them lower on the case. If the tape is already inside the machine is unable to reject the tape - disconnect the machine from electricity to open it or call service...

greetings from berlin, matt.

1. Remove the two small screws from the tape door face. I show the entire carriage removed.
2. Look for the small metal peg on the left side, about 1” down from the top of the tape carriage.
3. Using something small push down on the peg to release the tape door.
4. Important Note: Most likely the tape will still be wrapped around the video head and held there by two capstans, (one on each side of the head)
5. Carefully pull out the tape not damage it any more than necessary. Keep in mind this might cause the player to “eat” the tape at this area so smooth the tape here with your fingers (nothing metal) and wind the tape to begin playing past this area if possible.
It seems this is a common problem with this unit; Canon should have put a better motor here in this critical area.
Good luck, hope this helps everyone,
