When connecting the dictaphone to my PC the display screen does not turn on, despite moving the on/off switches etc. My computer also does not recognise that the dictaphone has been connected. It seems that the dictaphone is nonresponsive &"dead" for all intents and purposes. Has anybody come across this problem?
There is a small hole in the back of the unit. This activates the firmware update. My experiense is someone pushed this in with a pin and caused the switch to be stuck. You can disassemble the unit and use a pin to pry the bubble switch up or off. This switch is only needed to update the firmware which can also be done thre software so is not needed.
