Can't Get Any TV picture on mySharp 27DV-S100 TV-VCR-DVD combo
After the DVD wouldn't open I turned the TV on its belly, removed the DVD unit and opened the DVD to get the DVD drawer to open. I plugged the TV back in and tried the DVD - everything was working fine, so I put the TV back on and when I turned on the TV all I get is a blank screen. I don't even get any snow when I don't have the cable wire hooked up. I can play a DVD without a problem. What may have gone wrong that all I'm getting is a black screen? Can you help me. I've only had this TV about 3 years and I really need it!!
What cable do you think it might possibly be? Are you saying the cables that connect the DVD player or what cables? What cable do you think it might possibly be? Are you saying the cables that connect the DVD player or what cables?

Open back up the set and look closly at all of the plug connections and cables as you might not have pulled one out all the way but may have in inadvertantly pulled on a cable of one of them and pulled one out have way or just a little. My freind it happens to the professionals all the time. Make sure you check all the plugs on the VCR as well as the tv that they are instraight and flush. Good Luck

replace the dvd mechanism assembly.usually
runs 60-90 bucks.you can buy the part from
encompass.com.the dvd mech cannot be repaired by individual parts.the entire dvd mech
must be changed and is available.this may
require a technician to repair this depending on
how mechanically inclined you are.the part is
available to the public.
I just had that same problem.
i tried turning the tv off and then but didn't work.
What worked for me was tu unplugged the power
chord from the outlet, wait for 5 seconds, then
replugged it, turn the tv on and while it's turning on
open the dvd tray. It should open without problem.
At least it worked for me.
