Re: wont stop zooming
Have you cleaned the heads lately? Or the focus sensor. My previous advice for some one else is to clean the heads every 25 hrs of play. Buy a commercial tape cleaner. Try that first.
If that doesn't help you may need to take it to a camera shop and have it cleaned and re-aligned because of normal usage after 2 years. Probably your best option.

This is a malfunction in the zoom control switch andcan usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repairedby a qualified service technician.

There is control switch block that has zoom/wide switch along with play, rewind, forward, stop, pause buttons and this switch block flip up and down while ejecting/ load tape in camcorder, this will be replaced as zoom/wide switch got defective and sending continues command of zoom to system control chip. Let me know if you need part number of switch block control for DCR-TRV120
