Check the connections between the head unit and the XM tuner. If the connections are good check for power and ground.

Using the tuner

Listening to the radio

The following steps show you how to tune in to FM and

AM radio broadcasts using the automatic (search) and

manual (step) tuning functions. If you already know the

frequency of the station you want, see Tuning directly to a

station below. Once you are tuned to a station you can

memorize the frequency for recall later-see Saving

station presets below for more on how to do this.

1 Press the FM/AM button to select the tuner.

2 Use the FM/AM button to change the band (FM or

AM), if necessary.

Each press switches the band between FM and AM.

3 Tune to a station.

There are three ways to do this:

Automatic tuning

To search for stations in the currently selected band,

press and hold TUNE ?©/?? for about a second. The

receiver will start searching for the next station,

stopping when it has found one. Repeat to search for

other stations.

Manual tuning

To change the frequency one step at a time, press

TUNE ?©/??.

High speed tuning

Press and hold TUNE ?©/?? for high speed tuning.

Release the button at the frequency you want.

Improving FM stereo sound

If the TUNED or STEREO indicators don't light when

tuning to an FM station because the signal is weak, press

the MPX button to switch the receiver into mono

reception mode. This should improve the sound quality

and allow you to enjoy the broadcast.

Using Neural THX

This feature uses Neural Surround™, THX® technology to

achieve optimal surround sound from FM radio.

• While listening to FM radio, press AUTO/DIRECT for
Neural THX listening.

Your TV band radio won't work anymore now that the US has switched to digital broadcasting. The frequencies now in use aren't the same now, so the radio can't receive them. Plus, the radio doesn't have the circuitry to decode the digital sound even if it could pick up the broadcasts.

Sad to say, you have a radio that now picks up only AM/FM/weather and static. Also, as far as I know, nobody is yet marketing a radio for TV sound with digital capability. All you can do during a power outage is use a new TV with battery capability and digital tuning.

There's nothing you can do. With the switch to digital broadcasting, the sound isn't on the same frequencies it used to be so this radio can't pick it up. Right now, nobody's offering a digital receiver for the sound. All your radio is good for now is the regular radio and weather broadcasts.

The radio won't get TV sound anymore after the switch. And no, nobody is selling a digital receiver for the TV sound yet. All this radio is good for now is regular broadcasting and the weather band.

first you have to set a channel in your sat radio then tune your car radio to that channel go to menu and then to set fm frequency in your sat radio and choose one try to get one that does not have a station on it whatever you set it at just tune your car radio to that frequency and it will work

If your going to buy an antenna you could do some research at cccrane.com. They might be able to help you with the other problem too.
