Your head switch is jammed on - either because the cylinder is jammed up and not returning all the way down (if you have cleaned it recently make sure the 2 pins that hold the cage don the cylinder are on the right side of the cage arm)
If the tool moves up and down properly then I would replace the head switch or the head switch lever.
I left the unplugged battery in the nailer and went to nail again later. The battery fell to the floor and broke. Unplugging isn't a good answer. I replaced the molded circuit, but the fan still runs whenever the battery is plugged in.
