Your head switch is jammed on - either because the cylinder is jammed up and not returning all the way down (if you have cleaned it recently make sure the 2 pins that hold the cage don the cylinder are on the right side of the cage arm)
If the tool moves up and down properly then I would replace the head switch or the head switch lever.

I left the unplugged battery in the nailer and went to nail again later. The battery fell to the floor and broke. Unplugging isn't a good answer. I replaced the molded circuit, but the fan still runs whenever the battery is plugged in.

My 601 won't shoot any spikes it just leaves a 1/4 '' indent were nail should be?

If you're getting an indent in the wood from the driver, the gun is working properly. If the gun isn't driving fasteners/nails it's because the nail isn't under the driver when it's activated. Several things could cause this: Having the wrong angle nails in your gun. There is something in the feed path of the nails preventing them from feeding fully into the nose piece. The feed shoe is jambed or feed shoe spring is broken.

Paslode framing nailer: compressor powered, hisses but will not shoot nails, appears to be in the sliding mechanizism that touches the wood first before it will shoot, help

I've used paslode for years and whenever there was a "hiss" of air and no fire- it was o-rings- When were the o-rings changed last? And how do you know they are in 'good shape'? You can't tell by just looking at them. If that isn't the problem then I can't help. Just as an aside- do you oil the gun (down the air intake nipple) every time you use it? Lack of oil will wear out o-rings fast. Sorry if this isn't overly helpfull but most gun problems are o-ring or seal related unless you've worn out or damaged a mechanical part.

Paslode nail gun 325 black not firing

Any time these guns become intermittent or stop firing but the fan still runs, the first the to check is the expiration date on the gas cartridges. The do expire and this will make the gun work inconsistently or not at all.

Fan wont shaut off

try a doing a complete cleaning using Paslode cleaner or electrical contact cleaner.

Most problems with the impluse guns are result of them being dirty.

IM250 Paslode straight brad nailer, fan wont shut off

My paselode was doing the same thing, and I followed all of the cleaning instructions, but the problem continued.

If it was left alone for a minute, it would fire again, so I removed the cover over the trigger assy, and checked the spark plug wire connection. The trigger came out, and during reassembly, I noticed that the electrical switch was hanging, and slowly pushing back out.

I cleaned and lightly spray/oiled the switch pin, and voila.........works like a charm.

Will bosch nail guns operate with Paslode brand nails?

The F28WW takes 28Deg nails that are collated with wire, so your nails won't work in that gun. The N80SB is also a 28Deg nailer so your 30 Deg nails won't work in that gun either. Sorry about the bad news but it looks like your going to have to spring for new nails

Paslode nail gun not firing

Hi,
Yes you need to oil driver blade piston.
You need to check for spark. With no nail or gas in it. Take of main cylinder(4bolts on top, 2 bolts on nose. And then put in battery. And then push upper switch(behind roller at top) and the fan will come on. And then pull the trigger. You should have spark.
Thanks,
Jeff
