OLYMPUS 410 all of a sudden mu camera wont take a picture, the video section of it works, but when you press the button to take a pitcure it does focus but doesnt take the pic, what is flashing continuously is the red lightening sign all the time, ! and the orange light on the viewfinder is permenantly flashing, whether im inside or out. would this be the cause of direct sunlight damaging the camera, its just a thought what do u think the problem is help !!! simon

It is something that seems to be a problem with the Stylus 410s. Olympus will not repair them unless they are under warrenty, I've tried. My best advice, and what I am in the midst of myself (I have 2 of these with the same problem) is to file with the BBB. Perhaps if enough complaints come through, they will begin to fix the stylus 410 defect as they should. Good luck. =)

I am having the same problem :(
Flash won't work, orange light keeps blinking, camera won't take a picture unless the flash is turned off.

There may be a problem with the flash circuit. until and unless flash is charget the camera won't work in photo mode, but, will work in video mode. and the red flashing indicator is also for uncharged flash.
