F-11 is a bad control

    the control board is under the top cover 3 screws holding it on,remove the top cover and the control unit is mounted towards the back of the machine.looks like a computer.you can try reseating all the connections first but it usualy won't fix your problem. if you reseat all the connections make sure you unplug the washer first.

if its a Kenmore model then this message says that the button control board has lost sight of the main control board , but its been my experience that this maybe able to be reset and it may never come back or it will not reset and the control board will need replaced (50/50)

F11 flashing kenmore he washer
The F11 error code indicates a serial communication failure. This happens when the 2 main control boards are unable to communicate with each other. This is either caused by a loose wiring harness connection or one of the control boards is defective. Good luck and please rate FixYa!

Kenmore Elite H3 error code F11
F11 is a serial communication error. It is recomended to check connections from the motor control unit to the ccu. We are looking for the blue wires that carry info from component to component. The ccu is on top under the cover positioned in back for older machines and front right for new machines. The mcu, motor control unit is behind the kick panel below the door and is front left usually.Again we want to unplug check for dark or crusty connections if not to carefully reseat the connection and not only the blue serial wires but power as well. Remember to first unplug the machine and while you work the machine can reset, 30 minutes is typical.
