Hitachi 32CX39B When my tv was turned on, everything was fine, but when the xbox got turned on, only a horizontal strip showed on the screen.

My Hitachi used to eat Horizontal output transitors. I do not even know if your uinit has that anymore, but if that goes out the unit wont make the B+ voltage needed to power up the unit.

re run your channel search it should find them

you need to chang screen or buy new tv ,cause that is not fixable its killed pixels.please leave comment,vote,note.thankyou

if line is left to right in middle of screen the problem is in the Vertical deflection circuit---could be either a soldering problem with the vertical output ic or a bad part in that circuit. If this has been helpful please give me a vote.

ohh..your memory ic corrupted change it but it need to program use memory ic copier to copy the ic first ok

Have you adjusted your tv settings at all, rather has anyone screwed aroung with your tv?

If the sat feed is on channel 3, and the TV is tuned in and still does not get the feed, check the feed wire to be okay. If all is okay, there is a possiblity that the tuner module in the set has failed.

The xbox is just a coincidence,the good thing is your friend tap on the set and it reacted going back to normal maybe for only a second but is good,you have a loose conection is the vertical IC,this the circuit in charge of pushing the picture up and down.The vetical IC is normally mounted in a small heatsink and is flat,it should have 10 pins soldered to the board.The board need the be flip over and the pins resoldered. If you are familiar with tv service you have a place to start but if you are not too familiar be safe and call for assistance from a servicer.Let Us know how it goes and if you need more information.
