Volume when I first turn on the TV its fine, but as time goes on, probably within the first hour, hour and a half, the sound starts getting real krinkley and hard to hear, finally the sound goes out completely. What can I do?

I have the exact same symptoms. I have not attempted to diagnose yet as I am looking for a schematic. I suspect an audio amplifier chip, or supporting caps, etc. I doubt it is the speaker as this is a stereo set and both channels are affected.

I have the same problem with my t.v. After about an hour, the sound gets crackily and then goes out completely. I paid abour $199 for the t.v. about 5 years ago, but would think the speakers would be okay.

The easiest thing to try is placing a different speaker in the set and let it play for as long as it takes the other to give you a bad sound, the speaker in the set has to be totally disconected and the wires attached to the speaker you are trying. The speaker has an OHm value ussually 8 ohms, use one that has the same rating, just to try this is does not have to be one that fits like the other in the cabinet, once you discover if is the speaker giving you problems you can order the exact replacement from the factory.Be careful when removing the back cover and make sure the set is unplug from the wall.

I have a RCA L32HD31YX12 TV. The TV works fine for a half hour and then the screen flickers and goes black. The sound continues. If I turn the set off for a half hour, it works again for another half

You have answered your own question, someone needs to open it and find a loose plug or broken solder connection--if it reacts to being tapped on that is the issue- a physical problem inside.

Well I also have a S112PS AR Sub Woofer Problem...

Are you sure it is receiving an audio signal to make it wake up? You don't mention what's upstream in the audio chain.

To eliminate mis-settings or lack of sub-related signal upstream, plug an RCA cable from a CD player directly into it and start a CD that fades in slowly because you won't have any way to lower the volume except to pause the CD. If the sub works you'll hear a muffled version of the program.

Top half of screen goes black

Sounds like your having problems with your Y-main(upper buffer) is getting too hot. The IC's located on this board are really bad about going out a lot. If you take the back cover off your Plasma. U will see that the manufacture of the panel is Samsung and the panel model is probably S42AX-YB01. you should be able to purchase the board. probably will run about $ 150.00.
Hope this helps

Tv volume goes down of its own accord

Hi,

Some dust in the button to lower the volume on your TV or on your remote control might be causing it to think it's being pressed. Try playing around with it, pressing it hard so as to relieve it of any pressure on the inside.

TV Turns off and on

How long since the last time the bulb was replaced? It sounds like the bulb is overheating and triggering a safety shutdown.

It's probably in need of nothing more than a good cleaning (open it up, clean off the boards with a can of air) and *may* be time to replace the bulb.
