SOURCE: Iomega fat 32 formatter program does not allow me

If you really must have fat 32 (maybe for MAC use ?) then windows itself does not support doing a fat format on large drives.

However there is a fix Yup thats why they call it FIXYA

Here is a link to just what you need

Hope its what you need and good luck

SOURCE: Iomega eGo 1TB USB 3.0 Portable portable harddisk

Few different things are possibilities.
1. Are you connecting the device via USB 3.0 to the USB 3.0 adapter on the computer? 2. Try switching out your USB 3.0 cable for a different one. 3. If you are using the USB 2.0 instead. Make sure you are using the USB Y cable for the device and not just a standard USB 2.0 straight cable. Using the USB Y cable. Plug the cable into the device first, then make sure to plug both USB's into the computer starting with the short side USB then the longer side USB second. Also try using the USB's on the back side of the computer as they will supply more power than the USB's on the front of the computer.

SOURCE: Hello support First of all

Your hard drive encrypts all the data put on it, so you need a password to access it. If you haven't changed anything, the default password should be just the word "password" I would recommend changing that as soon as you get into the drive. There should be a very obvious option in the program once you enter the password for the first time.

You will want to encrypt the hard drive. One of the most popular programs is PGP, it is free and open source. Once this is done, you will will have to enter a password when ever you try to access that drive.
