Hi all, wondering if anyone can help me. I have a samsung flat screen 68cm tv. It is a few years old now & has been perfect. Until now that is. The picture has started going blurry at the edges. Just wondering if anyone can helo me as to whether this is a problem worth fixing (inexpensive) or should it go to tv heaven? Thanks, kazza71

Hi, White dots are due to bad DMD chip and qualified tv tech can replace required DMD chip in this tv to fix the picture issue. Please contact nearest Samsung service center or local tv repair shop for repair estimate. Thanks.
with a flashlight at the back of the set often times there is an adjustment you can make WITHOUT having to open the set!!!
look for a little hole in the back of the plastic cabinet labeled SCREEN then with a flat screwdriver holding only the plastic handle, insert it into the hole and SLOWLY rotate until the screen brightens up until it is watchable.
This is compensating for age in the picture tube. you may get a few day or a few more years! of a much better picture.
If you start seeing some thin lines on the screen then back off you have gone too far. Do this adjustment with the brightness and contrast controls on the menu turned up all the way.
it is also safe to play with the focus adjustment right next to the screen if thing seem a little blurry. you will need two people one to watch from a distance for best picture.
you have a shorted green CRT that is affecting the other crts the short is internat to the crt that leaves what is called retrace lines. if the set is more than three years old then replace all three guns.
