No input from the DVD player. Works fine with cable hook-up. I have the original remote, have used that..unplugged TV and DVD many times...took the thing apart and back together again (out of mere frustration). Screen remains blue with no volume when on DVD mode. I have used this combo a total of 3 times in a whole year........it worked well before.

Your going to need the original remote to switch back to AV input in the menu. It should explain in the owners manual how this is done. If you do not have that or cannot find the manual go to a search engine and look up emersom dowmloads it will show up as http://www.emersonusa.ca I think PS dont forget to rate this.

When watching tv, a blue box which covers about less than half of the bottom half of the screen pops up about 2 minutes into watching and will never go away. Only goes away if you press volume up/down, but comes back after 5-10 seconds later.

What channel do I set the TV on so that the dvd will play

Hi,
Hook audio/ video cable from dvd player to AV input of tv and select that AV input in tv to watch dvd playback picture.
You will see yellow jack (for video signal output) and red-white jacks (for audio left-right output signal) at rear of dvd player, plug AV Cable and hook it in AV input of tv, make sure yellow pin connected in yellow jacks of dvd and tv.
Thanks.

How do you hook up dvd/vcr to play on this tv

This television has front and back rca jacks. Those are the yellow red and white holes. You would get an rca cable and connect it between this television and the dvd player. Then you would have to change av inputs on the television's remote to access the DVD player's signal.

Have a toshiba tp 61H95 proj TV- want to connect panasonic dvd recorder and toshiba vhs recorder so I can copy family videos to dvd- can't get hook ups set up for both to work.

Select AV-1 or some thing in TV and plug DVD recorder Video-Audio output in AV-1 input of TV, playback any DVD and confirm its picture and sound in TV. Press Stop button of DVD recorder to stop playback.
Now plug Video-Audio output of VCR in DVD recorder input and select AV Input in DVD recorder, insert VHS tape in VCR and playback it and confirm you get VHS picture and sound in TV via DVD recorder.
Hookup between TV, DVD recorder and VCR is completed.
Playback VHS tape in VCR, Insert blank DVD disc in DVD recorder and press Record while you see VHS tape picture in TV.
Hope this info will help you.

I can't find the dvd input for my hitachi tv

DVD has AV out pins at rear, hook AV cable between DVD player out and TV AV input (yellow-red-white RCA pins) and select that AV input in TV by remote that you hooked DVD.
That will switch TV to that input and TV will show you DVD player picture.

Spongebob tv

You can only have one item plugged in to the ave jack at one time. Seems silly for a tv with two sets of av ins, but i ran in to the same problem and this works. Just unplug the dvd player or the game console.
