Our Canon DR-9080C scanner took a dookie, it would seem. She's plugged in, but won't turn on. I tried multiple power cords, multiple outlets (the outlets have power). Do these things have internal fuses? Could it be the power supply? Are these things known to crap out unexpectedly?what should I try next? Should I dump my coffe on it? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Canon 9080C is a very good scanner, so dont dump it.
Yes all power supply units have a fuse. Check if it is okay. You can source scanner power supply board from the market, if you can handle it or it is easy to call Canon support and get it fixed.

[080927] I have the same problem, I usually left my DR-9080C on power all the time for about 9 months now. I bought it used on Ebay in dec07'. Suddenly the unit was dead. I'm a little bit of handyman and the power board is easy to take out of the unit. Now I just need to find a place where I can get a working power supply board. The Part Number is MH3-2055. It seems to be designed to be used on multiple CANON products.
