HITESH--Canon videos are saved as AVI files.
longhair--How do you transfer the videos to your computer? With a USB cable? Try using a card reader instead--you might have a problem with the cable. Also, try reformating a spare memory card (like the small-capacity card that came with the camera) and putting a short video on it, then download it. If that works but the videos on your main card don't then you could have a bad memory card. Unfortunately, reformating your main card might clear up the defect but will lose the videos.

- download first a downloader or grabber (I recommend ORBIT downloader v2.8.10) and install it.
- after you install ORBIT, run the program ORBIT then under TOOLS find GRAB++ and click it
(GRAB++ is a file grabber, it can grab mp3 file, video and etc, this program should be open first
before playing any music or video)
- assuming you had finished installing ORBIT and run the program GRAB++, open YOU TUBE and play any video, then look at the GRAB++ program, you should be able to see FLV files check the file and click download, then that's it.
Adobe Flash Player is an add-on on browsers like Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. it plays a vital part in playing video clips as it is interpreting the video file to play on the browser. Also you can update to the latest version so that you will be able to watch video clips automatically. One thing that might be the cause of the slow download is your internet connection. You can ask assistance from your Internet Service Provider to check what is the speed of your Internet.
You can get the latest Adobe Flash Player from Adobe.com and by clicking on the link on the right part of the page to download the latest version of Flash Player.
Thank You for choosing Fixya.com for resolving your issues.
This is a codec issue and can be most easily resolved by installing the software and drivers that came with your camcorder. Alternatively, several codec packs are available for download by internet search. Insignia recommends ArcSoft MediaImpression software for editing and playback.

Yes, the Panasonic software will play your videos. So will the free version of Quicktime (it might already be on your computer). Try opening the video and double-clicking on it...it might play with no further action from you.
This is what the Sanyo CG9 Users Manual has to say about viewing videos taken with the camera:
"About video clip files recorded with this camera You can use Apple’s QuickTime to play back video clips on a computer. Playback may be possible using other software that supports the ISO standard MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 (AAC audio)."
Your Camera records sound but does not play it back on the device. Go to www.vivitar.com and download the driver for your camera. Install it on your pc and you should have sound when playing video in windows media.
Movies shot on FUJI's digital cameras are recorded in Motion JPEG format and can be played back using QuickTime version 3.0 or later.
(You can download QuickTime from the Apple Computer site).
To play back movies in Windows Media Player, download and install DirectX 8.0 or later from the DirectX website.
