To help you change the brightness and contrast settings from the LCD monitor, please follow the instructions mentioned below,
The control buttons are located at front panel of the monitor. The Brightness Button is used to select the Brightness/Contrast adjust functions. Press to switch functions or adjust settings.
To decrease the brightness or contrast press (-) button & to increase (+) as per your adjustment.

try to adjust front panel button, for the brightness control + - sign, if not function the problem is the lcd ckt. and need service.

there's a buttong located on your monitor. just look for it then set up brightness to watever display u want.

You cannot adjust the brightness with the key board. If the brightness control on the monitor is not working. It may due the defect of screen control on the flyback transformer. You have to replace the flyback transformer (FBT)

open the monitor you will look big black part called EHT you will see the movable shaft on it rotate it by screw driver in active supply monitor see on screen suficient brightness and stop you will be satisfied

Due to it is new monitor the best way to solve problem is to take monitor back to seller and afterclaim it. Malfunction is inside monitor and you are not able to fix it.

I have/had same problem. I have ATI Radeon display adapter and in driver settings there was adjustment for brightness. I adjusted that to minimum and now the brightness is pretty good (still little bit too bright, monitor setting 0%). Other succestions welcome...
