1680 x 1050 at 60 Hz is the ooptimal resolution and the only one that will not be fuzzy.

How fix computer monitor stuck in low resolution

If your resolution is too low, you can change that by clicking on the Start button and then clicking on Control Panel. From the Control Panel window, click on Adjust screen resolution from beneath the Appearance and Personalization section. From the Resolution drop-down, select the highest resolution by moving the slider to the top. Your resolution should be just fine now.

To change your font size, go back to Control Panel, search for "window color" in the search box, and then click on Change window colors and metrics". You can adjust font sizes from here.

My monitor is fuzzy in internet

Fuzzy on the internet and everything else or fuzzy just on the internet? check for monitor resolution and see if you have the screen resolution set right. If you have the resolution set too low, the screen can appear more fuzzy if the aspect ratio is not set right.

Laptop comes on great and seems to make all the right noise but the screen looks like the old vhf/uhf tv screens from the 60's....wont show a thing encept "fuzzy static"...it's a slimnote...

Hmmm, well either your Video Driver needs to be re-installed or you need to change the windows resolution settings.

XP: Right click the desktop and left click properties. Clickthe Settings tab and you will see a slider bar in the middle left. Move the barto the right or left one at a time and eventually you will hit the correctsettings for the monitor.

Vista/Win7: Right click the desktop and left click on Screen Resolution. Whereit says Resolution, you can change the settings to the Recommended settings foryour specific monitor.

Cheers!

I just checked the specs on your Benq PB 6110, which has a native resolution of 800X600 and will simulate 1280X1024. When you connect it to your computer, the computer goes to 800X600, right? That is the resolution of the BenQ. How high a resolution do you want? THe highest I have seen in projectors is 1024X760, which is not that much higher. Projectors seem to lag behind monitors and Plasma/LCD/LED TVs for resolution. They must have a very small market share therefore low developement.
