TV will turn on fine, works through all menus fine, sound works fine, problem is that on any station you have no picture. You can hear the channel that you are on but no picture. I have removed rear cover and blew the dust off (not very dusty), checked all connections for tightness ect, TV was working fine and then just quit showing picture. I am not very familiar with TV problems and my experience level with them ends with with watching one. I however am capable of fixing a PC including basic electrical trouble shooting so fixing it including changing out components isn't beyond my knowledge. Any Suggestions on where I should start??
I did the cover removal and check connections trick to no avail. I looked on the website for service manuals and they do not have one for this model. Any other suggestions? This might be a simple problem or a more involved one and for that you will need the service manual to check different voltages,is good you are somehow familiar with electronic servicing, first you need to remove the back cover and reconect just the cable signal and the power cord, make sure the chassis is seated properly in whats left of the front cabinet then turn the set on and scan for channels if you still see no picture tap lightly with handle (not Metal)of a screwdriver in the chassis to see if the set reacts to your tapping if it does you will be looking for a loose conection and should be easier but if the set does not react you will need to order the service manual from http://www.servicemanuals.net/ ,in there you go to service manuals and put the model number, they will give you a price.
Once you get the service manual you need to check the voltages to the signal processor IC to see if they are there specially the B+ supply to this IC.Let Us know if you have any more questions.
You need to go back to service manuals and go to contact us and fill up the form ,tell them the manual you need is not on their list. They will find it and get back to you.You need to go back to service manuals and go to contact us and fill up the form ,tell them the manual you need is not on their list. They will find it and get back to you.

First if cable I presume you have entered the menu and selected cable.
Another possible reason is the tuner/s in this set are bad---hook a DVD or something to one of the rear inputs and see if set works.
If set works that way and tuner turns out to be bad you can with a box with av cable out connections on back just go into a rear input and bypass the tuner--leave set on that input and change channels with the box.
Let me know if you have questions and what you find---usually on this set if no signal---"unusable signal" will appear on screen if no signal.
Do picture have little white lines in it? This could be caused by a bad CRT driver transistor. On the small CRT board on back of tube. The red could be shorted

well u have a problem in the audio circuits of the tv which includes the speaker itself. but most of the time the audio power output transistor or ic get easily damaged resulting a no sound tv. if u dont have any idea with regards to this, i suggest have it check with a qualified service technician. it will not cost u a lot for sure.
