At high altitude polaris runs rough and lopes

well not knowing the model or year of mfg , ill assume its one with fuel injection , the mAP Sensor is the device that controls this function , they do sometimes get clogged up and require a good cleanout with some Map sensor spray (don't use brakeclean!!!) unless you want to buy a new one (sensor that is not atv) but even that's only gonna get you too about ten thousand feet , any higher than that your gonna need custom software to get it to run ok

Fix remote focus on ektagraphic projector

The problem you describe on your Ektagraphic ATS could be caused by a couple of things:
1> You have the incorrect remote. You need the correct remote for the remote focus over-ride to function. Just because the "Focus" button is on the remote, doesn't mean you have the correct remote control. The remote control could be broken, as well.
2> You could have a broken or mis-adjusted focus over-ride switch inside the projector. To rectify this you may need special tools and/or parts ( I'm not sure they are still available). To check this, contact: www.micro-tools.com
Micro-Tools may be able to provide you with instructions to make the repair, as well as the parts. Good Luck!! Jim

My super tenere XTZ 750 runs pooorly at high altitude

late model EFI controlled engine ,indicates a Baro slate model EFI controlled engine ,indicates a Baro ensor problem not reporting to the ECM to adjust for less air
Take it in for a fault code check
if carbies it could be a float level problem and a air/fuel mixture adjustment or jet sizing problem

Yamaha ef 2800 i, fresh fuel, cleaned carb, major surge with eco. switch on, slight search, no load with eco. switch off. near perfect under 75% load. output steady 119.9 to 120.00 volts.

I hope you have not moved the genny from lower to high altitude b cause the carbs of these gen sets are tuned at the sea level and they give their best performence up to 1000 meters or so in altitude from sea level if you hav'nt moved the generator then check the air fuel mix screw on the carb that screw controls the the oxygen supply required inside to burn the appropriate quantity of fuel take a screw driver and adjust by rotating it anticlockwise on idle with eco switch on then put it on 75%load and try adjusting the screw both ways clockwise and anticlockwise with switching the load on and off with eco throttle off you will find a point where the engine will run smooth but mind it the screw has to be moved very slowly either side usualy these problems accur on high altitudes when the oxygen suppy goes less then the jet in the carb is to be reduced and air fuel mix has to be adjusted which is called re jetting of the carb You say you have cleaned the carb may be accidently while cleaning the air fuel mix screw might got disturbed just check

The water is too cold in our newton water cooler. Is there an adjustment to make it warmer?

Yes there is an adjustment. Your water cooler should have a temperature control The enclosed adjustable thermostat is factory presetand should require no adjustment other than for altitude requirements. The temperature control should also be easily accessible.

Without specific model information difficult to identify where the temperature control may be located on your unit.

You might vist their website to identify your model. A search by model number may find more useful information on accessing and adjusting the temperature control.

Trust this is helpful.

How does the altimeter function work? we can't find it on the enclosed instructions

Altimeters on watches are usually based on barometric pressure, since the pressure changes all the time you generally need to adjust the altimeter to a known altitude. You can look on USGS website to find the altitude of your area, or simply type in "altitude of city, state" in a search engine.
I hope I understood your question; if not, please reply.
