A popping sound can be a good thing because it will be easy to identify a blown up or degraded component,if you are familiar with tv service you might spot the bad part fast just by looking at it and then change it,sometimes you actually have to check a component with a meter to tell is gone bad, check the main fuse ,it should be close to were the power cord comes in,if is black you will have bad components ahead and you will need the assistance of a servicer,if you are not too familiar be safe and call for help.Let Us know how it goes.

Try unplugging from outlet for fifteen seconds. Press the power button for a few seconds "before" plugging back in. Now plug back into the wall outlet and try turning it on to see if this reset the TV's settings.

My atc fuse would keep blowing I put a bigger fuse it didn't blow that but I herd a zap noise from my TCCM now my 4x4 won't work 1999 jimmy

What you have done? You Just damage the TCCM and that's why you will not manage to shift 4x4. Why this happened? Because you had shortage somewhere and you receive blown ATC fuse. You put a bigger fuse in capacity where the was stronger to blown and the fault moved to the tccm system which was not protected and blown.Ask for an expert to check and see whether the fault is easy to get fixed.

Popping noise and now won't power up. Red and green indicator lights blink on front of tv.

start by checking the power supply in the set and if not able to do that consider taking it to a shop for an estimate.

Kenmordryer ,replaced heatelament cross teminals wiers turn on herd pop won;t turn on

first check for 240volts at the incoming power, then depending the kenmore number (as in who produced it for sears) if its a 110.xxxxxxxx its a whirlpool, then unplug it and remove 9 hex screws on the back and test the thermal fuse,it has 2 terminals and is 1" long by 1/4" wide and is white in color,it should show 0 ohms, otherwise bypass it for testing by jumping c(touching wires together) and plugging it back in,if it then heats replace this thermal fuse, make sure vents are clean and free of lint as this will overheat dryer and cause thermal fuse to open

I have a 32 inch lcd magnavox tv. when i try to turn on the tv it goes right back off within 2 to 3 seconds. its fairly new tv like 3 yrs old. any idea?

Check your power supply. Take it apart and see if the compositors are all in good shape. If they are popped, puckered or oozing stuff out of them then you are going to have to replace your power supply. It also could be a bad inverter. Is there a buzzing noise before it shuts down? Has been doing it for a while and now won't come on at all now?
