"power surge on hub port a USB device has exceeded the power limits of it's hub port"

What does that mean? My daughter (8yrs old) bought this with her own money about 5 months ago and now we cannot charge it up on our computer. Any ideas???

My PC (windows XP) doesn't detect Sansa e250 MP3 player

Turn the player off before you plug it in and if it doesn't find it then turn it on while plug in.

Sansa MP3 player charges, plays while plugged into wall, but not unplugged.

When you plug it into the wall make sure you turn it off and let it charge all the way before you start using it again. see if that helps

Sansa e250

i know i have to charge my sansa for at least 7-8 hours before the battery will show it is full. about your other problem, i believe there is an option under the settings menu to automatically shut your sansa off. If not then you can turn off the backlight and that will save alot of battery life.
