Re: TV went off.
When you say wasted? What exactly do you mean? Do you mean you splashed water into the TV set while it was on? Oh my, big troubles if you did. It could have done 1000's of differant things to the TV set. The only way to tell how bad it is is to know first how to trouble shoot solid state electronics and how every differant circuit works. If you do not, I am afraid I am going to have to recommend that you seek out a trained tech or repair shop and see how bad it damaged the TV set. These sets have no user replaceable parts inside of them and are dangerous to mess with because of the High voltage that is still inside these sets even when they are unplugged! Good Luck

Re: TV went off.
Water is bad specially while something electronic is on,is hard to tell, the first thing is try to dry were water went in and hopelly the water did not go ALL over in a circuit board, this circuit boards can run up to 500.00 depending on the board,if is a small area your chances are better, the drying has to happen before corrosion sets in.If you are familiar with tv service and you have no indication of power(no lights,No clicks)you can start by checking the main fuse witch is close to were the power cord comes in to the set but if you are not too familiar tv service be safe and call for assistance maybe only for an estimate.

An old thread, but this issue drove me crazy so I'll post in case others suffer. The solution for me was quite simple... I thought the instructions meant empty the waste container for the machine to use it to collect water. So I put it back inside and made no progress. It actually means take out and put under the streamer / coffee outlet to catch the water outside. Off it went all good.
By the sound of this, the waste pipe is probably connected under your sink. If this is the case then water flows back from the waste pipe and u bend. Just check and ensure your grey waste pipe is raised above the level of the u bend this should stop the problem. Also use a little soda crystals to clean pipes. Hopefully this will resolve your problem.
If you are vacuuming a lot of debris or algae, you need to vacuum to waste. 1. You'll turn the equipment off, 2. You'll turn the valve to waste, 3. Turn the equipment back on, and 4. Vacuum the pool like you normally would. Only this time, the debris and dirty water goes out your backwash/waste line. You also don't have to backwash and rinse afterward because none of the debris went inside the filter.
Any time you vacuum up just a small amount of debris, you'll vacuum on filter and then backwash (30-60 seconds) and then rinse (about 30 seconds).
if it is dirty water then it sounds like it's coming from the sink if washing machine waste is plumbed to the sink make sure washing machine waste pipe is higher than the sink waste outlet if it is clean water then a new water valve is what's needed
its not good remember water and power does not mix most likely shorted some parts if you do take this set to tv shop make sure you move the plant to a diffrent location okay when the tv is on it has all diffrent voltage okay when you add water to a printed circuit board its not good take to tv shop see what they say i prbally would not waste the the money on a repair when you can buy a tv w/ a warrany okay have a good day
Warranty time. The TV most likely went into protection mode because a part went bad inside.
I would take it back to the store and exchange it for a new one. 90 day warranty policy.
Have them test the new one to make sure it works so you don't have to waste another trip.
Good Luck
Well that pop had something to do with the power components inside the TV frying. I would have to say there is nothing you can do to repair it as its dangerous to work on such things. I wouln't waste my time bringing it to a repair shop they will probably tell you to just buy a new one.
The CRTs are usually what they call a matched set, meaning if you replace one you should replace them all this is going to cost you about at least $400.00. The liquid you felt was coolent for the blue tube, by the way I hope you cleaned your hands after touching that stuff it is a kin to glycoalochol which is poison. I would suggest www.electronix.com as a place to begin to look for the part or parts (I suggest replacing all three CRTs to manitain the matched abilities of the tubes).
