Question about Sony KV-35V35 TV

Screen Flash I also Have the Screen Flash Issue but it seems to be not as bad after the TV is on for a while and also not as bad when I turn the brightness all the way down im pretty good with electronics if I could get a diagram or really good instructions on what I need to do to resolve this issue if anyone can help I would be forever thankful

I have a sony trinitron model kv 35S42 i was told it is the ir board should i try the other solutions first? tv comes on but constantly flashes. when playing dvd doesn't flash as often mertle

Hi Ricky, Power supply card seems to have gone bad in this case.If you are technical, try replacing power supply board or consult someone qualified to handle your set.

turn on the set, grab a bright flash light and dim the lights in the room. Shine the flash light on the screen, if you see a faint picture on the screen, you are dealing with a backlight problem. There are several things that can cause this. One, a bad backlight inverter, two, faulty 24vdc power supply, three, bad main board, or a bad faulty backlamp.

I have sound but no picture
oh, so that's your problem. I'm willing to bet you have a picture but just no backlight. Now does the screen come on briefly when you first turn the TV on? Or is the screen black at all times?? Turn on the TV, turn off the lights in the room. Take a very bright flash light and shine it one the screen.I bet you see a dim picture. It sounds like you have a backlight problem. Either you are missing 24VDC from the power supply, 3.3VDC "backlight on" signal from the main board, a bad inverter, or a bad backlamp.

Sony kp 51hw40 rear projector turn off problem .
T8005 etc is NOT the issue.

This set was prone to bad picture tubes (has 3) and can flash bright blue (most common) and set when this happens detects too much current being drawn and shuts down.

There is a fairly easy way to try to deal with this and return set operation to fairly normal.

Not technical and no parts are needed.

Picture has green tint on startup
Jar-Head, bad news, the picture tube has a mild short in the green cathode, tech can come out and try to restore it but it`s usually a futile attempt on sony tubes, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, BMW Rider

Sony Rear Projection TV Model # KP 53N74
I have had a similar issue with a Sony 52" circa 2001 tv. It was bad and then got better. The only problem now is that when I plug anything into the component 1-5 (but not 4) the screen is fuzzy. The DVD is plugged into 4 and it works fine. I tried plugging something else into that and it showed up in black and white. Very frustrating. Fancy TV if you only watch cable or a DVD. All other modes show up fuzzy. Sony recommended a tv repair place in St. Paul but they want around $400 just to look at it.

Citizen (Goldstar) TV will not move out of Aux and Channel 2 mode I have a Citizen TV (Goldstar) and my old remote is gone, purchased an all in one remote for the tv, however now I can not get out of Aux to channel 2, and when I punch in higher channels with my new remote my tv will only go to channel 13. I have full cable to this tv but seems it is stuck in Antenna mode. However how do I change this since the remote that I did have is broken and the new all in one remote the code I have for that tv does not access the Menu screen and there is no other codes will wokr.
