Transfer of video from Panasonic NV-GS50 tape to computer

How do i transfer video from Panasonic NV-GS50 camcorder tape to my computer.I have been able to transfer watever that was in card from with the help of software which came along with camcorder. Couldn't find a way to transfer video. Do i necessarily need a firewire port. regards

You will need a firewire card in your PC and firewire cable to connect your camera to the PC. you will also need a software like Windows movie maker which can help you to transfer videos from your camera to the PC.

On my GS50B, i use a fire wire cable to a fire wire card that i installed in my computer. Works fine for me.

You can only transfer from the card to a PC. You can record video on the card in .mpeg4 format.

You are in luck! You do not need a driver for this camera to transfer video over the firewire port into your computer. All you need is the appropriate cable and some video editing software. The software can be as simple as Windows Movie Maker (if you are on a PC) or iMovie (if you are on a Mac). Plug your camera into the firewire cable, turn it on and put it in playback mode, then start your video software. Then there should be an option or menu entry labeled "import footage from camera" or "import" or "transfer from camera" or similar, depending on what software you are using.

Hello I have a Panasonic NV-GS50 and I want to transfer my videos on to my pc. I have the USB connector but I can't find the disk. Is there a way I can download the disc that I need.

Try using this driver.
Also refered to as nv-gs50e or nv-gs70e. Go to http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Drivers-and-Downloads/list-75489-Camcorders#Anchor_13 it will be the third driver from the BOTTOM. This model has been discontinued so support for later windows editions are not likely. Windows 2000 is the last version you can always run your compatabilty mode with 2000 for optimum preformance.

Can not download pictures from my NV-GS50 to my computer. Windows XP. Do you have a disk download for my computer to recognise the Panasonic NV-GS50.

I didn't see an NV-GS50 but I did find a PV-GS50. All Panasonic DV Camcorder in the US start with PV in model number.

U can put video from u're computer, on the tape, with the camera's software: MotionDV Studio !

Other softwares may work, MotionDV Studio works for sure...
