PROBLEM IS PICTURE IS ON FOR 2 SECONDS THEN BLACK SCREEN FOR 2 SECONDS THEN PICTURE 2 SECONDS THEN BLACK SCREEN 2 SECONDS - ON AND ON - SOUND GOOD EVEN DURING BLACK SCREEN - AT START UP BLACK SCREEN FOR A FEW SECONDS AND RED LIGHTS BLINK IN FRONT OF TV - PLEASE HELP - I REMOVED REAR COVER - ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ON REPAIR - THANKS FOR ANY HELP JOHNNY

The set may have shorted the horizontal out put transistor since it kept coming on sometimes. This could be cause by the driver transformer arcing causing a "spike" in voltage going to you horizoltal out put transistor. Stargazer
