Question about Concord Camera 3346z Digital Camera
So I have a Concord 3346z, and when I turn it on, I get a little windows hourglass in a black LCD screen, and nothing else. I changed the batteries, no dice. It won't turn off or respond to any buttons once this happens, the only way to get it to turn off is to open the battery compartment. When I plug it in to my computer with the USB cord, it lights up the green and red lights like it's supposed to, but the computer only responds to it as a USB mass storage device and doesn't recognize it as a camera anymore. Once I unplug it, same thing--won't respond to any buttons or turn off unless the batteries are opened up. This happened once before, and somehow by plugging it in to the computer and doing things I don't remember, it fixed itself; after I unplugged it, it refused to focus. I turned it off and back on and it was fine. Now not even that seems to work. Please let me know if you can help, Kimi
I just had the same problem and "fixed" it. I read the other solutions and while the camera was on I gently inserted a tiny probe in the hole on the front of the camera, then [camera is still on] I reset the camera with the same probe on the reset hole in the back of the camera.
This fixed the problem immediately. I know the questions were years ago but there is no Concord site now and I thought I would help.
My theory on how the camera got that way is that I might of had my finger over the lens while powering up and prevented it from coming out - maybe there is a "trip" switch to keep the little motor from burning up in that situation and you reset the switch thru the front hole? Anyway that worked for me and kept my [for years] great little camera, with lousy instructions on use, working.
Thanks to whoever runs this website saved me money $$$$$$!!!!!!
