I purchased the oasis and had it about a month and the "f" code kept coming on. I had sears replace it for me and now a week after having the new one the same thing is happening. It will not go passed the wash cycle. We are in a brand new built house. Could it be our electrical wiring? Any ideas??? Thanks
Jenine, I have run into this problem on a few of the Oasis washers. In talking to the Whirlpool tech rep (Whirlpool makes the Oasis), I was under the understanding that they had some issues with the initial main board supplied in these washers causing the F code. Therefore, in changing this washer out, you probably received one in stock with the same board. What I would do, since it's under warranty is to have the technician order a board from the factory. Any revisions to the new board should be in there. As long as you have both water valves on, no clogged screens on the hoses and 120 volts at the outlet your washer should operate normally. The Sears tech was here today and said the problem was the motor sensor. A part would have to be ordered. I refuse to wait 5-10 days for a part for a week old washer. Any advise on any other machine that will wash a king size comforter?????
Thanks
Jenine
I had the same problem with my new Kenmore Oasis washer, it stopped part way through the wash and then I got the F code. Technician replaced the motor sensor (this was one month ago) and today the same thing happened again. I hate this washer. Wish I had of bought the old dasher kind as they were dependable. Oh well. Technician has been called again to fix it. Should be here in a couple of days. Wonder how long it will work this time.
