Just installed cd player the radio work but not the cd it say on display E-04 what does it mean ?

Have you tried pressing hte RESET switch?? It's behind the removeable front of the stereo, use a biro or something and hold it in for a bit.

Failing that, check that there isn't a CD already in it, could be a dodgy CD?
