Before diagnosing it to be a hardware failure, I would suggest you to upgrade the firmware on the router. Follow the below steps to upgrade firmware on the router:
A. Open the router page using the following way:
1. Connect a computer to the router using any one of the 4 available ports.
2. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari).
3. Access the router, usually by typing 'http://192.168.1.1' or 'http://www.routerlogin.com' in the address bar.
4. Login to the router with the Username as "admin" and Password as "password" (please note that the Username and Password are case sensitive).
B. Visit the following link to download the latest firmware.

C. Please follow the steps to upload the firmware of the router:
1. Open the router page using the steps mentioned above.
2. Under Maintenance, click router Upgrade.
3. Click Browse and locate the upgrade file.
4. Click Upload.
5. Wait for the router to reboot.
6. Click on 'Logout' (at the bottom of the list) from left menu.
7. Reset and reconfigure the router.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the assistance with identifying my problem with my router. Very quick responses, clear instructions. Very helful."
SOURCE: will pressing the wireless button and wps button
Well pressing the two buttons together for around 5 seconds would cause the router to revert to factory default settings and that will reset the password and IP address.
Please revert for any further clarification.

What happens when you push the big blue-light button for 5 seconds, is that all router security is turned off for 2 minutes. While it does this to give you 2 minutes to complete the WPS setup of a device with the router, that's not what you're doing. You're just providing totally insecure public access to your router for 2 minutes at a time.
The bad news is that now, WPS is now enabled on your router, until you reset the router to factory settings, and then restore whatever settings you care about back to how you had them. With WPS enabled, any nearby hacker can figure out your router PIN within a few hours (anytime, not just during the 2 minute windows) if they want to, through a well-known attack method exploiting WPS PIN/SSID/etc handling.
What you really should do is either: provide your guests the password to get connected securely to your router/network (and change the password after they leave), or just remove security for however long you want to for them, then secure it again after they leave.
If you regularly have guests who you don't trust with the password to get onto your secure network, you should set up an additional unsecured guest network. Some routers have this feature built in.
