Clean Light Flashes

The problem I have is the LED Clean Light Flashes constantly. I turned the circuit breaker off and then on after a 15 minute delay. I would like to know the exact reset sequence for this KitchenAid dishwasher model KUDI0FLSS6. After the reset, are there any special sequences to get it running again? Randy

The clean light blinks seven times and than starts over. Nothing appears to be working. I have reset the diagnostics to see if it made a difference, but it has not. the clean light is no longer on, but now it fills up with water, but doesn't start. Not sure what the problem is.

I found this post elsewhere. It seems to have worked for me: Our KitchenAid KUDP series dishwasher went into a mode where it would not start and would only respond to the cancel/drain button. The clean light would flash 7 times in a row, stop, and then repeat. I read that the 7 flashes indicates an error code and that the dishwasher has detected a problem in the heater element circuit. I tried to reset the error mode by turning off power for 15 minutes, however, that did not work.
We called for a repair. The service person found that the dishwasher was completely fine except that it had gone into an error mode. The technician reset the error mode and charge us $115.00.

The reset sequence used was reported to be the following:
1) Crack the door open.
2) Within 3 seconds press the following sequence - Hi Temp Scrub, Energy Saver Dry, Hi Temp Scrub, Energy Saver Dry
3) Close and latch the door
4) Press the cancel button (the circle with the triangle in it)

We were told the dishwasher expects to see the dish water temperature rise in a certain way. If the water does not heat in this way, the dishwasher becomes confused and thinks the heater element has failed. In deed, this happened just following and extended power failure and our hot water tank was cool. I am curious if this code will work for anybody else with the same problem and save a service call and 115 bucks. Overall, this seems to be a serious logic flaw in the design.

Unbelievable! You are the best for posting this! Saved me a ton of money on a service call. I had tried the button pushing sequence already, based on another website's recommendations, but I had not know to close the door first then crack it open and press the buttons, then close it again, then press cancel. The closing and opening of the door in that sequence did the trick, while just pushing the buttons did not. Thanks so much!

Thank you AlPal, I have a different model but was able to figure out which two buttons to use to get the reset to work on mine.

worked for me too - great advice and great site. I was about ready to buy a new dishwasher, any brand other than a Kitchen-Aid

  • Anonymous Nov 02, 2011

Thank you SOOOOOO MUCH!!!! It worked on our Whirlpool Gold model DU1048XTPQ0 too!! Our display panel also gave a little differant choice (high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry) Using your open the door along with that sequence and then the closing the door and pushing cancel, it worked! We were also ready to order a heater element circuit as the trouble shooter area in the book advised, but decided to give your idea a try first. You saved us a bunch of time and money, THANK YOU!!! Thanks for this post! I have a tankless water heater and the wimpy small bore valves in this dishwasher don't allow enough flow to trigger the water heater reliably. The Thompson family in Wilmington, NC

What if you can reach the cancel button while the door is closed? Trying this sequence to hopefully clear the error code on our DW.

Thank you for this post ... our Kitchen-Aid came with the house we bought 8 years ago ... never had any problems until now ... wasn't ready to purchase a new one ... I notice most of the new models (different brands) don't give you enough space for your dishes etc. ... will be keeping this one for a little while longer thanks to you.

Trying to set switch for 5 minutes , and i only get 30 seconds or 15 minutes

Which brand and model number specifically?
Leviton: 1-800-824-3005
Leviton Decora manual says:
"PR180 operates by detecting motion (such as body heat) within its field-of-view (area of coverage) and automatically switches lights ON. When motion is no longer detected, lights remain ON for a selected time and automatically switch OFF.
Adjustable light and time-delay controls are located on the front of the device."

The manual is not specific about set times.

In any case, the device has off-delay timing circuit, so once infrared heat is no longer sensed, the delay period begins, and once the delay period expires, the device is switched off.
Delay timing circuits are common for many home and industrial applications.
As a general rule, delay timers can be set for different time durations, however the Amazon page that sells PR180 product does not specify available time settings either.

Legrand RW3U occupancy sensor spec sheet says adjustable time delay 15 seconds 5 minutes, 15 minutes and 30 minutes

Delay switches
Here is manual delay-time switch Tork SS20 SS13 where you can 'fine-tune' the delay circuit, but my experience is that exact 5 minutes is not easily set:
GE 15318 switch offers 5 minute, but there is no guarantee that you can get 5 minutes exactly:

My conclusion is that there are very limited delay-time choices with this model number, or device is defective and suggest to call Leviton.

I am wanting to energize a relay for 3 min. then off, whether the power stay's on to coil or not! what I want to do is when a door rises and hits a switch I want to energize a coil for 3 min. whether...

You want 3 minute 'off delay' timer.
When timer is energized with push button or momentary electrical signal, circuit remains ON for set amount of time, and then turns OFF.
Aug 15, 2011 Dayton/ Grainger website is offline

Most delay timers have 1 amp capacity rating, so circuit needs fast acting 1 amp fuse, and timer controls separate relay or contactor unless Load is equal to 100 watt light bulb.

What are the carrier 8000ts led error codes?

They are listed inside the front panel of the main unit.

11 NO PREVIOUS CODE - Stored status code is erased automatically after 72

hours. On RED LED boards stored status codes can also be erased when power

(115 VAC or 24 VAC) to control is interrupted.

12 BLOWER ON AFTER POWER UP (115 VAC or 24 VAC) -Blower runs for 90

seconds, if unit is powered up during a call for heat (R-W closed) or R-W opens

during blower on-delay.

13 LIMIT CIRCUIT LOCKOUT - Lockout occurs if the limit or flame rollout switch is

open longer than 3 minutes.

- Control will auto reset after three hours. - Refer to #33.

14 IGNITION LOCKOUT - Control will auto-reset after three hours. Refer to #34.

21 GAS HEATING LOCKOUT - Control will NOT auto reset.

Check for: - Mis-wired gas valve -Defective control (valve relay)

22 ABNORMAL FLAME-PROVING SIGNAL - Flame is proved while gas valve is

de-energized. Inducer will run until fault is cleared. Check for:

- Leaky gas valve - Stuck-open gas valve

- Obstructed pressure tubing. - Pressure switch stuck closed.

- Short circuit in secondary voltage (24VAC) wiring.

five minutes, inducer shuts off for 15 minutes before retry. Check for:

- Excessive wind - Proper vent sizing - Defective inducer motor

- Low inducer voltage (115VAC) - Defective pressure switch

- Inadequate combustion air supply - Restricted vent

- Disconnected or obstructed pressure tubing

- Low inlet gas pressure (if LGPS used)

If it opens during blower on-delay period, blower will come on for the selected

blower off-delay.

33 LIMIT CIRCUIT FAULT - Indicates a limit, or flame rollout is open. Blower will

run for 4 minutes or until open switch remakes whichever is longer. If open

longer than 3 minutes, code changes to lockout #13. If open less than 3 minutes

status code #33 continues to flash until blower shuts off. Flame rollout switch

requires manual reset. Check for: - Restricted vent

- Proper vent sizing - Loose blower wheel - Excessive wind

- Dirty filter or restricted duct system.

- Defective blower motor or capacitor. - Defective switch or connections.

- Inadequate combustion air supply (Flame Roll-out Switch open).

34 IGNITION PROVING FAILURE - Control will try three more times before lockout

#14 occurs. If flame signal lost during blower on-delay period, blower will come

on for the selected blower off-delay. Check for: - Control ground continuity

- Flame sensor must not be grounded

- Oxide buildup on flame sensor (clean with fine steel wool).

- Proper flame sense microamps (.5 microamps D.C. min., 4.0 - 6.0 nominal).

- Gas valve defective or gas valve turned off - Manual valve shut-off

- Defective Hot Surface Ignitor

- Low inlet gas pressure

- Inadequate flame carryover or rough ignition

- Green/Yellow wire MUST be connected to furnace sheet metal

45 CONTROL CIRCUITRY LOCKOUT Auto-reset after one hour lockout due to;

- Gas valve relay stuck open - Flame sense circuit failure

- Software check error

Reset power to clear lockout. Replace control if status code repeats.

If status code recall is needed, briefly remove then reconnect one main limit wire to display

stored status code. On RED LED boards do not remove power or blower door before initiating

status code recall. After one status code recall is completed component test will occur.

My pb10 subwoofer will turn on when it gets a signal but won't stay on. It just constantly flashes on and off to the beat and the sound is distorted.

2 possible causes. The power supply is failing, bad or leaky caps. Or, the cap for the timing delay on the 'turn on' circuit is bad and now there is no time delay...

Can you switch to constantly on as a test?

What does it mean when that blinking green light turns to orange one in lp 350?

This would be "Standby"
When you press standby, the display and audio turn off and a blank screen is displayed for 15 minutes.
You can change the amount of time the projector stays in standby mode; see “Standby Time” on page 27 for details.
The LED lights orange while the projector is in standby.
• If you press standby again within 15 minutes, the projector returns to normal operations immediately. The LED changes from orange to green.
• If you press standby again after 15 minutes, there is about a 60 second delay before the lamp turns back on. The LED flashes green while the lamp is re-lighting.
• If you don’t press standby again, the lamp turns off after 15 minutes. The LED lights orange while the projector is in standby.

I hope these help

If it's a Whirlpool, and flashes seven times, then you have a heater circuit problem. You would need to diagnose which component is at fault

Dishwasher Clean light blinks constantly.

Try turning off the power to the dishwasher at the circuit breaker box. leave the power off for 5 10 mins and then turn breaker back on and try to restart dishwasher. This may reset the board and it may work

Centrex a/c keeps shutting off every 15 minutes ( split system)

To start, check your condencer fan and make sure the condenser is clean. After that you will need a technician with instruments. If the switching off is constant, after approx. every 15 could be switching off on high pressure.

My maytag Jet Clean EQ Plus seems to be stuck on the three minute delay

Hi 9897,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: The red light for the three minute delay is staying on and you can't get a cycle to start

First try to reset the d/w. Turn off the power at the circuit breakers for ten minutes. This useually solves the problem. If not, you're likely looking at a bad control board.
