The Clean Light is Blinking and it will not let me start a new cycle. It's like it's stuck on the clean sensor. I have tried hitting cancel and the 2 min comes up and it makes a noise like it is draining ( nothing to drain ) and then it flashes clean again.

The light in my freezer stays on when the door is closed.

I am curious how you know it is on unless you get inside. Some have magnet switches that will not cycle until the gasket seals.

I have to open and close the door several times to reset the timer wheel for a new cycle. cycle light

The timer works like a clock if you like. The cycle starts at 12:00 finishes around 11:55. When you open the door, the timer advances to the 12:00 position resetting itself to the start of a new cycle. The door has to be open for about 12 seconds. Check on the left side door hinge bracket and see how it plays on the door switch. old doors on the SR24's had an issue of the hinge screw coming loose which triggered the switch too soon. You should be able to rest the door against the tank without the maching running. The switch should close as the door engages the latch.

I have filled dishwasher selected temperature and the start light is flashing but nothing happens I think the m/c type is 7197

The Start/Resume light is flashing

This flashing light indicates that your cycle or start-up was interrupted.
Possible causes: The door opened during the cycle, or the power was interrupted.
To resume operation: Make sure the door is closed, and press Start/Resume.

The Clean light is flashing

You should call for service if the Clean light is flashing and the machine is inoperable. It is normal if the Clean light stays on after the cycle is complete. The Clean light is an indication that the dishwasher has been run and that the dishes inside it are clean. Once the door is opened after the cycle is complete, the light will shut off.

The lights are rapidly flashing

Any key that gets stuck will rapidly flash. Press the key a few times in order to release it or press Cancel.

The Rinse Only light is rapidly flashing

If multiple keys are stuck, the Rinse Only light will flash. Press each key, one at a time, to release the stuck keys, or press cancel.

New SHE4AM16UC, professionally installed eight months ago. Worked fine with very light usage until now. Dishwasher starts normally but stops and signals "clean" after less than five minutes on any cycle....

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the clean light flashes, pauses, and then repeats. When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and locks the functions (clean light flashes, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash

-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

All the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cycle finish (1-2 minutes). You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal. If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (i.e. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it).

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Lights stay on constantly even when not running; does not run aft

That clip is necessary as it tells the dryer when the door is open and when the door is closed. you will have to get a new door switch.

Won't start a new cycle

Check that the door is closed, and ckeck the door sensor. if the door sensor is OK, you may need to replace the cycle timer.
