Question about Panasonic DMR-E55 DVD Recorder
Maybe you guys can help me, I do not really know what to do! I recently downloaded the firmware for the model DMR-E55P from PANASONIC.COM (USA), to fix bugs about DVD medias reading, but my model is DMR-E55PL-S (Region-4 / Tuner PAL-M). I have contacted PANASONIC from Brazil, but they told me to send my recorder to the factory - It'll be to much expensive comparing the price of a new one. How can I do a downgrade and reinstall the factory firmware for the model DMR-E55PL-S, recovering the lost PAL-M system color after the confuse upgrading? If you can tell me from where to download it or to send it by email to me, I really would apreciate. Sincerely, (Excuse me for my poor english)
You can get a special remote controller that has a built in hack that will turn your DMR E55 into a multi region player. In the UK these are available to hire from the following website. You do not need to open your unit, just press a few buttons on the controller.
Follow the instructions exactly to the letter.
Please note, if you have purchased a new DMR E55, this upgrade may invalidate your guarantee.
Hope this helps
